Just have your work truck owning buddy get behind your car in his truck. Turn your mirror with the little thingy until he says it's reflecting back at him. I'm sure i dont get it right every time, but im looking at the space along one edge of the mirror while turning the mirror, looking for a gap that i think is the correct positioning. Yes, i hate them this much. ;)

What is "eastern Vermont"? I've never heard that phrase before, ever.

If you want to be accosted by people asking you for money all the time then Brattleboro is the place for you! Do some more research, Brattleboro is having problems and going downhill fast, lot of businesses closing.

Our stove runs 24/7. I can't remember how I started it for the last time back in late October....

i often start my fire with a propane torch too. you can still get a fire going with very little smoke that way.
i don't think the torch saves much time, but it's easier than assembling a proper stack.

the key that I've found is to put the biggest logs on the bottom, and using smaller pieces as you go up the stack
by the time you get to the top the pieces should be pencil sized, with a little bit of tinder at the top to get it going

What’s the secret? I’d love to do this.

Rutland, St Albans or Barre City.
Hands down the best places to buy a house in VT.

Thanks for the pointers guys! I will always err on the side of caution when it comes to any water more than waist deep. Its just not worth the risk.
I went up to vergennes to skate a bit today. Nice little setup there, even if the hours are a bit weird. Although it makes sense they are only open after school let's out. I heard that they use the ice for gym class.

Sure you can get a house in those areas but they’re gonna be awful far from things they want.

Don't listen to the people on here, most of which don't own houses. You can live in Rutland County, Bennington County (not Manchester) or the Northeast Kingdom for your price range. Rutland and Bennington will remind you of Portland. The parts where lots of people do heroin and near great skiing. I kid, but you're not going to find anything in Addison or Chittenden Counties for 300k.

Sadly, this is only true in Vermont. Housing in the rest of the country isn't affected by our high interest rates and is super easy to find.
