I enjoy Cornerstone but would enjoy it more if they paid their staff a better wage. I’d happily pay an extra buck or two per burger if it meant their employees are fairly compensated.

I mean I’ve made the reference of trees exploding, but it really is just sap expanding and causing large cracks. Sometimes you’ll get a section that will split right off. It doesn’t matter if the trees tapped or not though

I don't believe Stenger is innocent, but at the same time, neither is Shumlin. That guy just reeked of slimy corruption. I wish someone would look more closely into his activities

Reply to I don't think the legislature should be setting the qualifications for Sheriff, that's the job of the voters (and I support elected Sheriffs). We need a way to remove a Sheriff who has shown themselves to the public as unfit for office. That's my opinion. by RamaSchneider
From a flat lander in CT: it needs to be easier to remove people in that kind of power. My local police chief has such an ironclad contract that the voters want him out but cannot remove him short of his own gross misconduct (i.e. doesn’t matter if the department is shit by his design, he cannot be removed without him fucking up).
Having a mechanism to remove people that are not wanted by voters is a good thing. Having rules is also a good thing. We’re suffering because we cannot.

This seems like a great way to do nothing while looking like you’re doing something. It’s technically more difficult to amend our constitution than to impeach an official, & several of these sheriffs should be impeached and removed from office. But, no one actually wants to do something like actually remove them.
Our system favors the status quo.

Growing up in an old house we learned early to leave the doors open on the bathroom sink/vanity and the cabinet space under the kitchen sink during cold weather.
That little extra warm air flow can make a lot of difference even if the pipes are inside the wall. ¯\_( ͡❛ ͜ʖ ͡❛)_/¯

In VT you can sell raw milk completely legally. In the process of setting up stuff to bottle raw and be all inspected.

I’m really not sure! They were fairly big birds - a little larger than a robin. They were cutely round, but it was very cold. The main color seemed to be the same gray as a pigeon. They seemed to have long tails for their shape and size. The tails seemed to be forked, with longer feathers on the outsides, making a v shape. They made cute, contented bird noises, but no distinctive calls. About half of them had rosy breasts and heads (sex differentiation maybe?). They all had white lines on their wings.
Unfortunately I couldn’t get a very clear picture or video because of distance, the contrast between the bright sun and the darker thickets and the age of my phone camera.
