(quick bitch - nothing personal) I am sick of hearing about a part time legislature with a full time job. Every legislator applied for the job and put a great amount of effort into getting elected VOLUNTARILY. Perhaps ideas for a more lengthy legislative session with better administrative support would get further if the most common proposals didn't involve reducing representation for those of us NOT able to physically access the State House.

There are 150 state representatives and 30 state senators. I've spent time in the State House and I know the flow of business.

Dr Bob is from St J; so lots of great local groups in Vermont.

As an atheist I found the Sinclair Method to be more helpful. But everyone is different, so l would encourage shopping around until the right fit is found. Absolutely worth it to find what works.

Just as heads up I make $22 an hour as a prep and line cook right now in Vermont. I just interviewed (and turned down) a position that payed $18, and another that payed $20+. I decided not to take an interview at a place that told me they'd pay $23-$25 an hour after their training period, because it was a bit of a commute. If they lean a little closer towards $20 with their pay. They may have better luck. Best of luck finding help.

There’s obviously a huge shortage of mental health workers here so in theory this could help, however it could also be the case that therapists will simply serve the clients who reimburse the highest-and I’m going out on a limb and guessing that it won’t be Vermonters. I can imagine that it will increase access to therapists who specialize in certain areas where there isn’t a huge population here, can also see this as a good thing for people of color who want to find a counselor with a similar background. I noticed they didn’t quote any mental health worker groups or agency reps in support of this proposal…

There are a bunch, and some nice ones just over the border in NH too. The one in woodsville Friday night is nice and fairly well attended. My Bf recommends meeting guide app, it will use your location to find meetings close to you.

Sorry if I misunderstood your post. Now that you’ve expanded your point I understand what you were saying and totally agree with you. We need a fundamental change in our country, but I don’t see it happening any time soon.

Isn't this literally blazing a trail for the good of the whole?

I for one, am honored when someone walks in my snowshoe path and I'm always excited to be the one who has the privilege of marking the trail for what could be the whole winter, or at least till a thaw.

I feel like a super old timey Ethan Allen type dude laying down a trail for my fellow winter towns folk

Its a serious problem in like actual groomed cross country trails or popular backcountry areas. The catamount trail gets constantly post holed.

If its just a trail you knock out in a field in your neighborhood its kinda a free for all

Is this a dedicated ski track or just a skin track in a field you layed out? If its the latter you may just be sol.

Especially if you are the only skiier in an area with mostly walkers.

Get the app called Meeting Guide (icon is a chair). It will help immensely, it's super easy to use and it's how I find any meeting in any location on any given day or time.
