Unrelated (I hope), but wasn't there a spate of arson incidents in the Stowe area 1-2 years ago? Whatever came of that?

If we're being pedantic, I never said "on all mud season roads"
I just said it's fine. I don't go over Roxbury gap in the height of mud season but I do handle dirt roads regularly and get by. Just gotta stay on top of the ruts!

Is that an oxygen truck in the foreground? Or just heating oil?

I have an awd Sienna. Live on top of a mile long dirt road/hill. Never been stuck. It goes everywhere all the time. Put winters on it, but no other mods.

That looks terrible. I hope everyone’s ok. And I see it was a hay truck - I hope whatever animals needed that hay can get some somewhere else.

That’s peak vermont right there. Not his business so he’s standing back.

I live on a well maintained dirt road and have had a honda odyssey for 3 years, so far no problems during mud season. Your results may vary, but so far it's been fine.

We need to demand a higher tax rate for properties used this way.
Taxing the crap out of STR's needs to become the cultural expectation.

Not sure how long a time or how primitive you are looking for. But we rent a rustic cabin from https://vermonthuts.org/ in the NEK. It’s rustic but super nice.

It's a spinning top. As it slows, the wobbles get larger, and larger...

Nah, you're clearly not a mechanic and/or must've not been paying attention during the last hurricane... When an EV touches water with salt in it, a chemical reaction causes it to explode... And they take 5x more water to extinguish and they also can reignite days after.... anyone with any engineering experience or basic understanding knows that EV's are nothing but a dangerous planet killing spy device.

Not mine but one that I saw recently. It’s awd and looked like it had a slight lift in it as well as bigger tires.

well hopefully they will see the issue for us natives as what it is and not just some ploy for white nationalism or whatever.
it's frustrating that the place I grew up, have generational roots / history is slowly trying to price me and my family out of. I get that a lot of folks think that vermont natives are all white dudes and far right or whatever, but we're mixed race, some of us liberal and some of us not liberal. We belong here just as much as any of these entitled "flat landers".

Don’t know if the newer Sienna’s have it, but older ones had run flat tires so swapping to winters was a hassle. The rear differential apparently occupied the space for the spare tire so they just didn’t include a spare and installed run flats 😆
