Then the naysayers (conservatives) get to point out how big of a failure the services were because demand was too high and grew the homeless population here. It's easier to say "look at all the problems your services caused" than "if everywhere offered these services, there wouldn't be such a concentration here."

Sorry you had a bad experience. Like I said, they are good for multi-unit housing. Dues go towards fixing shared exterior structures like roofs, siding, garage doors, gutters, etc. Dues also cover maintenance of shared yards, parking lots, car ports, trash removal, etc.

There really is not a lot of money in cannabis sales/products. Look at every other state that has retail California, Colorado and coming soon Massachusetts — there are so many failed cannabis start ups. Just look at how the prices have dropped in MA and now with legal retail in all the surrounding states it’s going to be a tough environment for dispensaries and growers. Can you make money—-sure if you are really good but it’s a really competitive business.

The person you're responding to wasn't saying the problem isn't real, seemed to me they were complaining about the shit system we have to try and measure the problem. It's been called a snapshot by others and advocates don't see much value in the count, but it's the only way to get HUD funding so they play along.
