My understanding was that…

  1. It can struggle a bit when the temperatures get really cold.
  2. They are very expensive, despite incentives (I have a 2200 sq ft home).
  3. Replacement parts can be hard to find.
  4. Their efficacy is dependent on how well-insulated your home is.

Now, a lot of that is anecdotal evidence I’ve heard from those around me and some light reading I’ve done. I know they’re not new - they’ve been the norm in Nordic countries for some time now, I believe.

My last concern was the reliance on electricity. I have plans to get a generator and there are plenty of Vermonters with less reliable electricity than us. But it was still a point of concern for me.

But maybe I should make a few calls and see what a quote might run me.

Heat pumps are great and completely ready for prime time (that’s just a strange comment, why not? They aren’t new)… just not as your only option in Vermont. You still need backup heat.

It does not need to be your primary heat source to get any incentives.

Depending on the size of the house they can be expensive. Not sure how much to switch a boiler to propane but would think it’s less than half of what a heat pump install would run you in a house

That’s overstating the moderna situation. A small subset of info wasn’t included, but was posted online pre-print, published in a medical journal, and included in another FDA document, but not presented directly to the advisors. FDA advisors have said they wanted transparency, but the additional info wouldn’t have changed their vote.

CDC studies show real-world effectiveness against severe disease with latest variants:

Okay they think they are desperate enough to cut the library to save costs. They say the university can function fine without this critical resource. It will just be more difficult for people who utilize this resource

If they are that desperate mabye the new president and executive board should all cut their salaries to 40k a year. You can technically survive off of that salary. It will just be more difficult.

For the life of me, I can't understand why the state keeps sucking resources from other state schools (especially Castleton) to prop up failing schools in the Kingdom. Its going to result in all the schools declining in quality. I feel like the state just wants CCV, UVM and then rich, private colleges.

“an association of manufacturers or suppliers with the purpose of maintaining prices at a high level and restricting competition.”

Yes. Many corporate property owners using common software to set prices enabling prices to be artificially inflated certainly looks like a cartel.

Do you disagree? And if so why?

We're almost at 200 people exonerated from death row. 200 PEOPLE on death row, that were found to be entirely innocent. I used to be pro death penalty, now I'm totally against it until we (probably never) fix the system. The judicial system as a whole is in ruins, studies show that almost 10 percent of the prison population is innocent of the crimes they're in there for. Even if it's 2 percent that's too much. There's so much that feeds into it. Tunnel vision, "expert" testimony by people who don't have any legitimate accreditation, speaking on opinion or myth. Public defenders who are overloaded and don't care about their clients lives, and juries that don't understand what reasonable doubt means.

The fact the all the uncensored posts are shocked about racism is really telling. This is an echo chamber but let me explain. Europeans are awaking to realize that the current system is completely against them. Check out Ireland, France, UK, Germany and many many more! Even here in America the far right continues to rise. You're not going to get the full picture of the world inside this little box where fat men on computers decided what can and what will not be said. A tidal wave is coming that none of you can see!
