Dan & Whits, Exit 13, I-91 North in Norwich VT. Make sure you get into the back area - the part that looks like your grand-dad's old garage. That;s where they keep the best stuff.

Dakin Farm in Charlotte has great foodstuffs as well as some gifts and apparel! Might be on your way to Middlebury depending on your route.

The loss of signal was more of a switch to digital, i'm not aware of any stations that shut down. When it was analog, you could get a degraded signal further away. Digital not so much.

This is what happens when someone remains in perpetual adolescence - a total preoccupation with rights and no thought of responsibility.
And even then, he’s not much of a crusader for individual liberties… it seems he just wants to blow shit up and be a martyr.
It makes me wonder what personal demons are at work here. Does he need help? Can he be helped?

I hear ya. Do you mind sharing what brand your gas insert was? My first house had a Jotul gas insert that was older, and it was reliable as a rock. I went for wood since I have plenty of wood on my property and propane prices can really get you, but I totally understand your reasoning for the switch. There are a few other places out there, Blazing Designs maybe? And there is one off Marshall Ave in Williston. Haven’t dealt with VT Stove and Flag, either.

What TV reception? I haven't seen TV in 14 years.
However I don't miss it at all so long as the internet is fast enough for streaming content (my basic DSL is fast enough), and maybe not even then.

One thing to verify is who gets the government incentives at the end of the day? This is what SunRun and Suncommon used to do, they'd install it and lease you the panels, claim the incentives, and then a few years down the road sell the panels to you at their remaining cost.

SB? I went there, always wondered if the rattling noise was from the heating system or from the Union Civil War vet whose land the school was built on spinning in his grave.

I've purchased two Hearthstone wood stoves from them, but they never needed anything other than an occasional firebrick replaced. However, I converted to a gas insert since I'm gone a lot and needed something that would not need 'feeding', plus the price of wood skyrocketed. The $$$$ gas unit has not worked consistently since the first winter. Never stays lit, always a hassle and CSShop doesn't really care. The 'one' time I had a competent technician (Damien?) show up, it still never stayed working thorough the winter. So now, it's been disassembled since Thanksgiving and I've called and called. They say, oh the part just came in... then NOTHING.. If I can ever get them to come back and re-assemble it, I will take them to court if they try to bill me. I've been told about a place in Williston (not the flag shop), that is competent. I'll give them a shot next time. It's pretty frustrating and there is so little competition in VT.

In Rutland I only get CBS and 2 identical PBS channels. Would love NBC and Fox for football but that's the only reason I'd want it.

Dan & Whits in Norwich (two exits north of WRJ and worth it) - huge, authentic general store plus the King Arthur Flour outlet and bake shop is just down the road - loads of cool things to take home. Safe travels!
