Where are you located? I’m in Fairfax and I tried this. Got the app to help locate the tower and everything. All I could get was some ESPN knockoff that was showing college lacrosse and a single channel playing black and white movies on a loop. Tried it in different spots on the wall and different rooms at different elevations.

I read this and thought "Burn them!" haha.

Jokes aside, your question is central. Archiving texts for later reference is what a library is for after all. If we don't intend to destroy the books, don't you suppose they're better kept in a catalogued library than dispersed to the winds? What a shame it'd be to destroy books because they take up space.

Seconding Vermont’s Own as an impartial 3 party (except for the fact I lived above the store for a few years)! It has a great variety of Vermont crafted items and food! And while in Midd you could also check out Sweet Cecile (some local items) and Danforth Pewter. The Midd Co-Op also has a nice range of locally produced food as well!

Many houses in Vermont are quite old, and were built before insulation existed. This meant that during the winter, the heat from the fire would heat up the roof and consistently encourage the snow to shed. The rafters were at most designed to carry the weight of the slate, but snow was not really considered an issue due to this heating effect and the steep pitched roofs. After insulation and air sealing became widespread in the 1950s, people began to became more concerned with the snow load, since the roof remained cold and the snow did not shed as readily. That is why now many people with old houses have to be careful in the winter to remove excessive amounts of snow from their roofs. Hope this helps!

HUGE bummer too, I loved growing up in VT and the landscape still takes my breath away when I drive home to my parents. Unfortunately I was one of those people who were pushed out. Part of my comment comes from the frustration I feel when talking about VT with friends and family who are still in-state. It feels like they are actively trying to ignore a lot of the major issues VT is experiencing.

I recommend buying local. The folks that do solar in Vermont have to maintain their reputation because we are a small market. Some of the national firms pick up and move to where the incentives are best. As a general rule, these national firms have aggressive sales teams that know more about financing then electricity.

This is all very cute, but please don't downplay this POS's intentions. He's looking to create a domestic terrorist training facility. That is what he is showing us he wants to do. As you said, it doesn't seem like he is going for the media personality thing, so all that leaves is a compound for training domestic terrorists in preparation for the next January 6th.

> Confederate flags.. in Vermont.. you really can't fix stupid, can you?

that shit truly pisses me off. folks waving those flags have no idea that we put up a hell of a fight against the south, we were also part of the underground railroad. You'd think that the losers' flag should be a icon of getting your ass kicked - but they wear their loss with some form of white trash pride that I just don't understand.
