Fun story: I was actually in college with one of the original Tesla engineers. She went off and joined that no-name startup before Elon even bought it.
He also bought the title of "founder", and pretended ever after that he'd founded the place. Or that he had anything to do with design or engineering.
Here's what he did: he was born into a slave-owning family and inherited millions of dollars. That's what he did.

I'm guessing she will be! We've just been seeing a few kids enter public school who didn't attend daycare or preschool, had no siblings, and never did any kind of playdates or socializing, mostly all due to COVID. Even just 3-4 kids like that in a class of 20 can cause absolute chaos in kindergarten.

The destabilized polar vortex is absolutely a consequence of climate change.

We take our toddler to library story-times and public play gyms; I hope she's socialized enough before kindergarten.

Probably because we can't install f-ing broadband throughout the state so it's one of the only viable options for internet.

I get it, Tesla's give you a hate boner.
But there are really good programs that work best for low income folks. https://www.mileagesmartvt.org/

Still unnecessarily unkind. People that age remember how it was 50, 60 years ago and use that as a gauge. You’ll understand someday, but please don’t be unkind in the meantime.

Not a Teacher, but my mother is a teacher. It feels like at least half the issues Schools are facing are due to a concerted effort by Conservatives to destroy Public Education. Whether those efforts are through inaction/underfunding or the latest manufactured Culture War “crisis”.

K. You keep on telling yourself that subsidizing the wealthy in Vermont with tax payer money is gonna solve the worlds climate issues.

Again I disagree, we can comment on a poor decision without needing to be cruel to the people who made it. These men didn’t knock over a liquor store or rape somebody, they went ice fishing during fall weather.

I mean if I’m honest with myself I do think that liking trump makes one a moron. But that’s because he is a liar and a hypocrite and a generally unAmerican bag of jizz infused feces. But liking what he says about China, or trade, or a bunch of other things doesn’t. The one I think has a pulse on what the slipping liberals want to hear though is Desantis. I hate the guy, but he is right on a lot of the education stuff. We don’t need to teach 7 year olds about gender or sexuality. Liberals win if it’s about equality, the majority agree that people have innate rights. The majority don’t agree that we need to have a catalog of different options for 9 year olds to pick from to decide who they will be sexually and gender wise. Trans exists and it is a naturally occurring thing, but it’s not something that needs to be advertised to create confusion in people that are too young to reason and understand.

It's supposed to be haunted, by someone who drowned there. I'd nope right out of that. Only time I go down there is for brunch at The Marina.

My buddy from work was out there. He said it was safe close to shore, but he went out a ways, measuring every 100 feet, and it got unsafe quick.

2 inches is sketch but if it's solid black ice it will still hold you. 3 is my number to feel safe but like you said, I wear spikes always and spud my way around until I'm comfortable with an area.

One year, a few years back, we had some guys on December 24th ice fishing on 2 inches of ice. But the water was only 4 feet deep. Even if I know the ice is thick , I bring spikes around my neck, to pull myself out with. I've fallen through over a spring when the ice was thick enough, luckily it was shallow water.

Yup, the mindset that if you like Trump, then you’re evil or a moron. I’m not willing to write off 73 million people. Maybe 30, but not 73 and we lose the culture war that way.

There were 1000+ people and multiple vehicles out on mallets bay this weekend for the pond hockey classic. It’s about common sense. Everywhere is different and conditions at one place can vary drastically from another place close by.
