Yes, you can. My brother did it. You will need to wait at dmv though until someone sees you as you don’t have an appt. may be a long wait.

Somerville is a easy drive in. Assembly feels safe even late at night. We’ve done this 4 times . Three pre pandemic then this last year to see Sir Paul @ Fenway.

Route 2 is great. The Kancamagus Highway is greater.

I really enjoyed the tour as a child/pre-teen. Not sure it would hold the same appeal for a teenager.

Contrary to these hard asses, yeah, do the Tour it's a hard medium but fun a touristy. Also, drive over route 108 and hit the alchemist if you fancy a historic beer, or the von trap house if you like the color of music.
I think you can take route 2 through the white mountains as well which are also sweet

If your concerts are at the TD Garden, you can park on any street in Charlestown for free after 6pm on Fri and all weekend, it’s a 10 min walk across the bridge to the Garden. Same hack works for Fenway, but you’d have to take the green line from North Station. Depends how much $$ you’re trying to save vs. time!

Yes- the eating tour of Central Vermont (I still go to the scoop shop at the factory too)! If you are into spirits you can add in a stop at the Smugglers Notch Distillery and if you like Coffee drive a bit further up the rd and check out Vt Artisan Coffee too!

We often stay at the La Quinta in Sommerville and you can walk to the Assembly Row stop on the Orange line in under 10 minutes. It is a bit worn but usually the rate is fare compared to places actually in Boston. It’s convenient to 93, has free parking and we enjoy window shopping/eating at Assembly Row. It’s only 4 stops to North Station from there.

3 Mountain Equipment at Smuggs rents outerwear. But if you don’t buy a lift ticket online quickly they’ll be sold out of lift tickets before the weekend. They try to keep lift lines from getting too long.
