I moved here from California when I was 25, the ultimate flatlander according to the local union boys. My 60 yr old work partner was convinced I89 ruined everything. I wore the moniker with pride, rode my CA plate motorcycle into Dec. 35 years later I’m assimilated but still a flatlander.

I think just saying that helps ensure that people will get their own advice if they can. Though in theory attorney client relationships or fiduciary duties could be made and broken anywhere.

I think the landlord here is obnoxious. Instead of viewing them as impenetrable god, I am inclined to find some argument that I think is not frivolous to raise. I understand that you don’t see it.

Do you think Balint is never going to comment on this ever? If she's cooperating with federal prosecutors, I imagine there is going to be an official statement released at some point.

"Speaking first without properly analyzing the situation and coming up with a clear and concise answer" is the type of thing Trump did. And look at not only the problems that resulted in his candidacy, but also the legal issues that have been ongoing as a result of it.

My father had my brother and I start building one at the back of our property when we were kids.we did not do a lot. Decades later, in his retirement, he started working on it and made tremendous progress. After he died suddenly the wall sat, a reminder he was no longer here. So now, every time I visit, I go out and find more stones for the wall. Progress is slow but moves ever forward.

I see, thanks for the explanation. Even if the state is offering this money up front, wont they get significantly more in the long run from the taxes off of these people? Looking at the population data, it looks like VT increased in population about 3.5%, Also home prices are insane everywhere right now, not just in VT

The huge influx of well heeled remote workers has almost doubled average home and rent prices over the last five years. Folks that cannot afford the huge increases are being forced to move and there is a massive dearth of workers for entry level, service, and trades jobs. There are definitely other factors at play, but that was the main driving force behind the huge run up in housing prices.

It’s highly questionable why the State would continue to use tax dollars to incentivize rich people moving here while they are slashing/ending all the emergency housing programs that are keeping people off the streets

actually there's good lumber in those forests which make incredible guitars, furniture and other products.

Vermont Maple and Walnut is by far the highest quality wood for musical instruments I have ever had the pleasure of working with. We also have other species that folks find ideal for instruments.

I am not saying cut down the forests, but I am saying that it wouldn't hurt to take down a few acres here and there to build up some more rural living areas or even carve out a good plot for infrastructure projects like broad band.
