Mixed use is a great solution that also preserves the character of town centers.

Had a friend who worked with sexual offenders and getting them re-acclimated to life and living on their own. He told me something like 70+ percent of all registered sex offenders in the county live in Winooski. Never been able to shake that stat in my head haha I remember walking around town and there being signs on all of the posts pointing out certain houses full of sex offenders. This was less than two years ago too.

Jeezum crow… Mack’s my neighbor. I knew he was weird. He set off fireworks at 4am, burned an RV (meth lab?) one night, but… My wife and I like going for walks up by his house, and I run past it every day. Coulda been one of us. ‘Scuse me while I go make sure the other neighbors are okay.

Sadly, there has been a noticeable change in the last 10 years. I moved to VT in 2011, and it's just not the same climate wise.

The only reason we know about the FTX money is because those guys were very unsophisticated regards avoiding disclosure. They were trying to act too fast.
Billions of dollars "finds" its way into our common politics every year. There are thousands of FTXs out there who have found the legal avenues of corrupting our politics and politicians.
It's that "systemic" thing, ya' know?

WTH does it say about the kidnappers that they left the keys in the truck such that their victim was (luckily and thankfully) able to drive away after breaking free of her restraints? Sure as shit sounds like they're pretty far from being master criminals. Do drugs make you stupid, or does that come first?

Railroad Street and Pearl Street aren't across the bridge.

It's really corporate investing. Corporations now have 20% of the market of rentals nationwide.
