- It hasn’t been throughly exposed. It is just coming to light now and the details and the extent of the fraud are mostly unknown.
- Given the current known numbers, it is most assuredly the largest campaign finance fraud ever uncovered in the US.
- Agree that campaign funding laws are week.

That’s because Phil and Joe Benning are pretty much the only VT Republicans that aren’t sociopaths. VT Republicans would be much more successful in VT (we’re not loving a liberal supermajority but it beats the alternative) Google John Klar, Greg Thayer or Art Peterson and you’ll see why they are irrelevant outside of the pockets of poverty (ie, where I live)

yea the common thing i'm seeing is what your switching from. The big problem with us is that my parents still have a landline and I talked to them just now and they said that they'd have to no longer bundle the internet and phone together so they wouldn't really be saving money. If it were just me it'd be a no brainer since I have verizon on my mobile with wifi calling.

There are plenty of Trump as well as Confederate flags around. I don't think those folks are flying them just for fun.

The abortion amendment passed in every county by 80%. When it comes to social issues republican voters are vastly outnumbered here.

I'm of the opinion that if you care about party at the local level you're probably a hack.
I'd never vote for any republican for a federal post but I've voted for multiple republicans within the state, including every governor's race. A lot of them I've known personally since I was a kid (friends of my dad. I don't know anyone my own age who calls themself a republican).

If he does a good job, I don’t care that he is a Republican. Although I try not to think about it too much, because I can’t understand why he wants to be part of such a repugnant group.
He will stay for a couple more terms if he wants to. The democrats can’t seem to find a candidate that is electable.
He will continue to be the only Republican that I will ever vote for.

My understanding was the black soldiers were forced to go fight the Lakota and other tribes, and it was the indigenous people that can up with the name Buffalo soldiers because of the dreadlocks they grew. This could just be a Rasta myth version though.

It was very cold inside the actual rink area, very cold. Blame my stupid self for underestimating how cold it would be, as I’m more used to it being warm around the rink.

I forgot to take pics of the arena from the outside, and was more focused on the scenery. I do have some pictures from inside of it though.

The Moscow put-in at the Waterbury Reservoir is really great for this. It's a narrow channel chock full of birds, beavers, muskrat, fish, etc.
Super easy and the good stuff starts right from the put-in.
It does get quite busy on weekends, so I'd recommend going either early morning or in the evening near sunset.
Anywhere on the green river reservoir is pretty excellent.

After I got my kayak I got a book called “Quiet Water - VT/NH” that has some amazing paddles around the state. I’d highly recommend a copy of that book.

I know that view well. Learned to ski on that hill and to skate in that facility.
I am so overdue for a visit home.

Fun fact: in the movie 'White Christmas' (which takes place in VT), Danny Kaye makes a joke about finding a Democrat, implying that they were hard to come by in that era.
