Based on the two towns I've paid taxes in for the last 20+ years, I don't think it's odd. The delinquent tax amount varies a lot from year to year. Fun fact, and maybe this still happens, we used to print the names of everyone who owed and how much.

Many also go to school in Canada because it’s closer. This idea that students going out of state or even out of country is bad, is a distraction.

Oh, God, don't send them here! Especially if they're from LI or NJ. They've completely ruined everything.

Also my fiber works fine without power. Got a generator and a UPS on the modem.
I'd imagine trying to get through to GMP on the phone during a major outage would be a nightmare. I just let them know on the website.

Yeah, and it was a great moment. It was the big news story in the country and then 9/11 hit. I just meant a lot of us were voting for him, that's all.

File a police report. Then your insurance will fix it and they can't take your deductible.

This is great. Basically the opposite of what NH did, which is allow families to take their share of money out of the public fund and use it to send their kids to private school. It's fucking bullshit.

More unintended consequences or is it really unintended after all?

The opposing team’s school, the Long Trail School, would also be stripped of funding under these bills.

That law is in in place today. If there is an issue it's one with enforcement of it. I am not digging it up but there was a thread a few weeks back where I and others posted many links to said laws.

**We have real estate agents in Southern Vermont making posts, really, of smiling near-dancing public brags about their amazing profits lately --- on the same page as talk of families losing their homes because of this quickly, artificially/externally fed, widening wealth gap. And people, now realizing their kids may never own houses in the towns they were born, are starting to say some pretty dark things 😞 Well, it's a tricky time everywhere.

So I might be over simplifying but couldn't we just have a law saying the state will pay $X/student.
As long as the school companies with state educational requirements and discrimination policies they can get said money (religious school or otherwise).
If parents want to send their kids to dumb-ass academy to learn the Earth is a 6000 year old flst disc or that homeopathy should be taken as seriously as actual medicine then that's fine, they just Dont get $0 from the state

I went to TSA and honestly credit it for where I am today, 10+ years later. As a sensitive and weird kid, I don’t think I would have thrived elsewhere.

I feel like this isn’t so to staffing. Took about 8 months in like 2018 for me to get into a dermatologist. I believe for specialized things like that we just do not have many practices.

My curiosity has gotten me stuck a few times, I’ve done my share of exploring some of the abandoned looking forest roads off of the maintained gravel ones but my bike isn’t a true off road bike. But yeah In the busier months I like to look for more secluded camping spots

Your legislators are mostly responsible for this debacle. While the hospital administrators have clearly had a hand in screwing this up, they did so at the direction and mandate of our legislature.

Well said thanks! I have a child in one of these independent schools and this would ruin her. She's not typical and has skipped quite a few grades and really can only get the advanced education she has at a small school. We had to pull her out of public school years ago and now that shes in high school with school choice we can send her to a place best suited to her learning style. This will be hurting hundreds of children that don't even attend religious schools all in the name of anti-religion and attempts to defy a Supreme Court order. Sore losers causing massive collateral damage in their quest.

I don’t know what your experience is in the labor room but the important relationship is the nurse that will be with you for the 2-12 hours before the delivery. The doctor comes in for 5 minutes, delivers the baby, and is gone. We had a great nurse for one child and an okay nurse for another. So I didn’t see the relationship with the doctor as that important in the delivery.

No, seeing all the providers to ensure you've met the one who ultimately delivers is pretty typical in my experience but obviously it's not universal. It makes sense though, you don't want someone you've never seen before to be delivering your baby, right?
