I have gone to mx before for care and it was wonderful. But how fucked up is it that we have to consider this? Our medical people are burnt out - my family in the medical field are so toasted and have lost a lot of patience, which is not good for anyone. The hopsital group my doctor sibling works for is the devil, so that doesn’t help. :/ and all the nurses i talk to, as i’ve met a lot of the ones that are travel nurses for cvmc/psych hospital here, say they make fair wages only by traveling. My mother is a nurse who traveled before and during the pandemic around the new england area and says more nurses are doing that, resulting in a failure for local people to be retained bc the prospective money elsewhere is greater, esp seeing contracts are like, 13 weeks or so. Something has to change for all workers in the country, including medical staff. It’s bad.

Also, i am sorry about your racist doctor! What hospital group are they associated with - uvm or dhmc?

lolol 😂 exactly! hes some rich IT nerd from long island who has probably never set foot on a farm, but hes watching The Last of Us and has become inspired to start prepping.

after a year or two, he’ll find out that you have to work your hand to the bone (not to mention have skills that in some cases take a lifetime to learn) in order to keep a multi-acre garden, raise livestock, hunting/gathering/foraging, winterizing/maintenance to your home, etc etc. and that nice cabin he built will go up for sale, and he’ll end up buying a condo with a view in a place like Stowe to ACTUALLY retire in

Pretty sure it’s their daily. It’s a 2005 so it’s probably pretty busted, esp if they do this kinda crap. They intentionally opened their door twice into this guys car as they left, after keying it. Only damage mentioned was to OPs car. (I’m not the FPF op, just saw it and posted it here)

This will have the "unintentional" consequence of depriving students from poor and rural communities access to schools they otherwise wouldn't be able to afford. If you as me this is less about the miniscule amount of religious schools that will be effected and more about keeping the poors out of schools like Longtrail Academy and Burr and Burton and the like.

It’s pretty simple. Private schools are all operated for profit, not for education. They, like all private companies exclusively care about their profits. It is simply in their best interest to profit more.

The aim of public schools is solely to educate. They cannot make a profit. They’re public assets. Yes, corrupt officials can steal public funds, but stealing public funds isn’t part of the schools business model; because public schools don’t have a business model.

As a result of this, funding private schools with public money is horrendously inefficient. It necessary would be. The two institutions have diametrically opposed aims.

This bill is good. It supports the efficient allocation of our resources. If you need more school options around you, fight for increasing the public school budget; not throwing that budget into a burning pit of money so some wealthy private school owner can steal it for themself.
