I'd definitely try the LoFi thing to boost views if you're up to it / it's in line with your goals for the channel. Do like an hour drive, or just slap some of the videos you have together to make about an hour. You want it to be something that people will put on and forget as they just vibe/work/study/whatever with it in the background. If you hired one of those companies to boost views, this is exactly what they do. The only difference is they have an army of accounts that they then set to watch that video a bunch of times to rack up views. The LoFi vibe videos are pretty popular though so search results alone should bring in views without the fake bot views. Please don't waste your money on those fake views though, growing naturally with people that will stick around to keep the views rolling is a longer grind, but it makes for a very healthy channel.

Good luck!

Edit: thanks for the Demon's Souls tips too! Just started a new playthrough last week!

In ideal conditions, it's really only safe to pass like 1-3 cars at a time, so once a line longer than that forms, the people in the back really can't safely pass.

But also part of driving in VT is keeping mental track of conditions that day and the few days before. If it's been below freezing over the past couple days, or rained and now it's below freezing, I'm always going to drive very carefully. There are many fatal crashes here every year, sometimes within a mile or so from where you live.

Once when I was a teen, a semi killed a car full of college tourists just minutes after I drove by the same spot. I've hit black ice before and thankfully it was a small patch and I was fine but it's scary!

It can be frustrating, especially if someone is driving more than 5 below the speed limit and conditions are ok to at least go the speed limit. But I have no doubt that slow drivers like this end up saving dozens of lives every year.

Server in a tourist town here: can confirm. I have tables from Florida and other places with rental cars who are clearly freaked out about the road conditions. I give them my best advice, but i usually don’t have enough time to ask them specifics about their rental car. If I don’t have time for a step by step (I usually don’t) immediate advice for them in snowy conditions is DO NOT SLAM ON THE BRAKES! But yeah. Many people who come here aren’t used to the snow. I’m happy to give advice when I can because I don’t want anyone freaking out on the road.

Glad you like this! I have put some audio on one of my nighttime drives in Northfield but I also think the road noise + our chatter can be relaxing at times. Lofi beats would probably achieve the same thing tho!

I might just have to try uploading a longer video that maybe loops with some free lofi beats. (I always worry about YouTube copyright claiming music)

Ya my current lack is the watch hours - it's a pretty large hill to climb lol

Love this! Thanks for sharing. I actually had a similar idea as you guys in the last couple years but wound up putting my energy into a music project instead. I just happen to spend a lot of time driving and thought I should capture some of the prettier drives and upload them to YouTube.

If I had launched this, my plan was to swap the camera audio for some LoFi grooves (you can find some free to use stuff that is nice). I enjoy some of those LoFi music channels while working, but would love one with something more interesting than an animated loop on it for visuals.

Anyway, please steal my idea if you dig it! It might help with watch hours too if you are going for monetization. Looks like you aren't far off on the sub front.

Edit: this is also super fun and I'd watch the crap out of more of this stuff: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LHwv9kvNbLc
