It’s not really a pressing issue that anyone is begging for other than a relatively small handful of people and betting companies - even then, VT isn’t a big enough market for companies like FanDuel to focus on a legislative push.
If people want to make online sports bets or daily fantasy, there are still ways to do it and it seems fine as it is for now.
The commercials have made me agree to never touch one of those apps.

The attic in the masonic temple is haunted. Cannot confirm, but was told this years ago by someone at a blood drive.

In my experience the mods let the voting system speak for itself. That is the way it should be. They should only remove doxing and illegal shit.

Sounds good. Reported and blocked. I agree with the guy, but yeah, not the place.

I think so. Hopefully, after enough spam reports, this account will be banned by the mods.

Legally not much if anything. A few statements of support here and there from town boards, etc.
The plan seems to be (for many issues) just banking on the idea that Vermont is Vermont and that's enough.

There was a recent program (not sure if the deadline has passed) that grants $10,000 to people who move into the state and work remotely.
It didnt matter if you were black, pakistani, yankee, gay, trans, polyamorous, jewish, sikh, female, short, tall, disabled, athletic, or red-haired.
In other words - Vermonters treat people as people. Move in, get involved locally, dont try and change the place to be like where you came from, treat others well, and mind your business - nothing else really matters.
If you're looking to move in and insist on legislative changes for your personal situation - yeah, that might fly in Montpelier, but it's not going to work "on the ground," whether you're a Connecticut Real Estate Mogul or a PETA activist or a Fundamentalist theocrat or a White Nationalist or a Progressive Hero or any other brand of Personal Agenda.
Good people are welcome here, and all sorts of people are welcomed regularly. End of story.

I don’t believe there is anything in the legislature regarding this issue. The legislature is mostly focused on housing… specifically the lack of it.

Never heard anyone describe Bellows Falls as “cute”.
I’ll always remember it as that dumpster fire of a town I lived in during 8th grade.

That's nice to hear.
My state's overrun with crap like that plus huge electronic billboards, warehousing everywhere and traffic-filled trash-lined roads.
If I could afford to move there and fade out into the woods, I would somewhere in NEK but I doubt there's many jobs in Public Works departments up there.
