I didn’t say it had a “slant,” I said it was odd. Because it is. It’s super odd. Clearly this guy and the rest of the officers in that department are at odds with each other. That’s something a journalist might ask questions about instead of just acting as a stenographer while using an AI bot to pull info about the guy the rest of the department has an issue with. I’m not sure what “slant” you think I’m accusing the supposed “journalist” of having. It’s just a really really odd article. I’m sorry if me pointing that out triggered your fee fees. Hope you’ll be ok.

Reply to Handyman apps? by odkevin

Word of mouth is your best friend. Contractors are booked up with medium and big projects (new construction, renovation/additions, kitchens/baths) that it’s hard for them to pick up smaller projects and rot repair/maintenance stuff. Talk to your neighbors, get some cards made up and hand them out. See if your town has a Facebook group I always see people asking for handyman services on ours.

What the fuck does the per child cost have to do with the price of tea in China? A CCP can have like 8 kids per adult + 4 school age when on breaks that’s 60k-100k a year gross. It’s not great but for a home provider who can then write off their mortgage, furniture, car, etc as a business expense it’s not small either. If we reduce regulations so that average people could do that without needing special licensing there would be more capacity.
