I had the pleasure of knowing her until her last couple hours and in the short time less than a month that I knew her I have very rarely met such a sweet innocent kid because that's what she was my point to this is the people that should have been there for her when she needed them the most her family was not and now that she's gone the judge mental assholes want to post shit like they cared if you cared she would still be here she lost everything and continued to lose so I hope the people that say they cared and should have been there see her face every night and every morning and it truly haunts you because I promise you from the talks I had with her if you cared and didn't dump her at a fucking shelter she would still be here

This is the problem, most people would be moved to part time and lose 20% of their pay. It works for folks with cushy office jobs that have real downtime and can get “40 hours” done in 32. It doesn’t work for everyone else. Most jobs don’t have real downtime, even when you’re idle you’re waiting to work in uniform.

32 hours of work per week with the same pay is generally what people are going for

you really don't lose even close to 20% productivity. personally when I swapped to 4 day work weeks, it meant I didn't want to drive into a lake for 2-3 work days a week, so I ended up being more productive overall. I don't dread monday as much.

To be honest, my dad pulled more than one dead squirrel out of a bucket and added the sap to the tank. He said, you are going to boil it anyway, so it is all OK.

Good thing we have pipes now.

looks like sap boils at 215-220F depending on sugar content

but boiling may kill pathogens while leaving toxins intact. if you shit in a bucket and pour some water on it, you can boil it all you want, I'm not touching it lol

My great grandfather was like this...

I remember as a kid seeing a dead field mouse in one of the sap collection barrels. He just scooped it out and tossed it like the whole batch didn't get tainted.

We still enjoyed our Maple Syrup every year regardless!
