This looks like an awesome ride. Any idea what the elevation change is over the whole thing? I did a century last summer and it absolutely kicked my ass, tbf I had a 20mph headwind the entire damn time haha but I'd love to give another shot at one.

Almost all trails are closed in Vermont from when the snow melts until Memorial Day weekend (to let the ground dry out and not destroy the trails during mud season). While the upper elevations may still have snow the trailheads will almost certainly be snow free so no-go. The toll road can still be hiked.

Howard Center does not have a secure unit. Patients are there voluntarily and are not locked in.

Damn, that sounds nice, but it's impossible. Why would billionaires or millionaires, or politicians or anyone in power choose to give up their power? lol

Not a historian, but I think the whole issue is very complicated. Eugenics was, at the time, mainstream and fairly widely accepted as a great idea. I'm sure well meaning people right now (myself included) are promoting ideas that will seem off-putting in the future. No need to honor these men, of course, but I think it is important to take the historical context into account when personally judging. There but for the grace of god go I, kind of thing.

That’s what the Senate plan is currently.

And there’s the rodeo most summer weekends in castleton, too. Not a festival, but if someone’s visiting the area, it’s potential fun to add on to a day! And it’s a bit of a scene.

montreal (spec. jazz fest), quebec city if inclined for a longer drive.
Enjoy the great outdoors! Take up hunting, fishing, camping; get a small boat + trailer, snow machine
Burlington's novelty wears off fast. Most folk living there rarely venture into the greens and most folk living rural rarely venture into BVT, save for trips to hospital or airport; despite being less than 1 hour away. We are all creatures in need of motivation to get un-horizontal :)

If company pay people more, more people will work, more people will stay, etc. IMO it’s the biggest issue

I honestly don't know that area that well, so it really depends how much they're impacted by mud season and if you're living on a paved road. if you are on a paved road in a town then honestly any car will do just fine. I had a front wheel drive Honda Civic and overall got through fine. most people like their Subarus

One would assume it works for the suicidal person, provided the wound is fatal.

Then the bar must be really, really high. It's much higher than it is in neighboring states.

A Republican wanting to protect a follower of eugenics (a pretty racist philosophy) And willing to go to court for it.
No surprises there.
