If you like "gun culture" so much, and there are so many responsible gun owners out there, how about you start working on fixing your community and supporting policies that would keep these mass murderous assholes from having guns. Sorry, but "I like them" is not a good enough argument for something killing thousands of people every year.

Have you had your car more than 3 years? If so, you don't have to worry about the tax. Luckily I did my research on the DMV website before I went there to register my car. When I got there, the clerk told me I had to supply proof I paid tax when I bought it or pay the tax to VT even though it was clear I bought the car more than 3 years ago. I proceeded to ask the clerk if it wasn't true that if one has owned their car for more than 3 years that they don't have to pay the tax? The clerk looked rather flummoxed, glared at me, and crossed the tax off my total. I wondered if it was truly a mistake or if it's standard operating procedure for them to tell you to pay the tax.

Ooooo big swing! I think you are right, the solution to resource scarcity and climate change is definitely optimism!

I’m not cynical or misanthropic at all, I live a relaxing, nap-filled, child free existence. It’s really quite pleasant. And I’m very supportive of other peoples decisions, good on you- have 12 of you want 12. How about you take some responsibility for your actions and pay the taxes I pay in order to fund all of the government resources your children can use. I’m just sick of subsidizing other people getting knocked up because society tells me there is some intangible benefit of spitting out more humans.

My wife and I walk regularly from Colchester down to about Staniford Rd, and that's all clear. Someone else mentioned the causeway, and I would be surprised if there weren't a little damage. Haven't tried to walk it at all since last fall, though.

Ah, you were the guy at the slave auctions bidding on slaves and yelling, "I don't agree with these laws, but give me that guy over there! Also, Johnson is sleeping with his slave in the field for everyone to see, so lock him up and give me his property! Once again, I disagree with these laws!"

Fuck outta here, you four-lipped snitch-loving dipshit, speaking out two sides of a paper asshole.

EDIT: Figures you would go out snitching and then hiding your comment from me. What a punk. Had you pegged from the jump. Go lick some boots.

EDIT 2: Since Reddit shadowbanned me from replying to Corey - It's scary how far you had to put your head up your ass to think that THAT was the comparison. Please don't breed.

And once again you argue against the strawman. An outright ban is constitutionally prohibited, anyone calling for one shouldn’t be taken very seriously.

Yet that is the framing I see so often in the many failed discussions about gun in our society.

Personally I’d like to see more enforcement of existing laws, and any new laws focused on own accountability. Safe storage laws and biometric identification technology should be considered. The fact that guns kill so many kids, many due to storage failures, is a goddamn disgrace.
