This is what happens when we let 25 year olds with zero historical perspective write articles. The song was released in 86 which means it was likely written in 85 which was the height of the Cold War. The song reflects the very relevant anxiety of nuclear war something that was never more of a possibility than it was then. We’re not even close to the same place. Not by miles.

If people believe that Sandy Hook victims were 'crisis actors', then you have no chance of making them believe any information that's 80 years old and does not fit their beliefs.

Imo Hollywood is to blame as well: in media, the Nazis were often portrayed as powerful enemies, a force to reckon with, while Nazi crimes against humanity were too shocking to show and only hinted at.

I don't know the exact reason why people identify with Nazis but I'd wager it's the same reason why people identify with storm troopers from Star Wars, an allegory to the SS.

It's deeply upsetting that we seemingly cannot learn the lessons we could learn from so much suffering.

I don't understand anyone that is happy with the current state of DC properties. Whatever James Gunn does, it will be better. Like Levi says, just what he's done with Suicide Squad alone speaks volumes to how much potential DC has and isn't being utilized by the guys running the show up until now. From Superman to Batman V Superman to Justice League to Suicide Squad(2016) to Aquaman to the second Wonder Woman film to Black Adam to this unreleased Flash movie, its been so bad.

I will say, Shazam was really good and David F. Sandberg deserves praise but it may be a casualty of all the other films, though I'm not sure there's been enough insectionality with the other Marvel properties that it necessarily needs to be taken off the board.
