such an abysmal movie and sequel. Which sucks because I love the actors and I love all things magic.

I just fucking hate how they seem to have real magic, rather than being very clever magicians. At least with "The Prestige" (can't believe I'm comparing these two) they give a really satisfying explanation for how one version of the trick is done, then present the audience with an even more interesting question on whether or not it should be done.

This movie wants the audience to think they are magicians doing tricks when in reality none of that shit is possible and only real magic would explain it.

Stupid, stupid, stupid all around.

I am with you on Now You See Me being terrible (dunnot about worst movie of all time - you should try Red Letter Media if you want to see what those look like).

I also find Ferrell's 'yell until its funny' type of humour to be pretty grating and overrated. BUT, The Other Guys is a great film (I am assuming thats the one you mean) and has plenty of jokes that land. Comedy rarely pleases everyone though.

I went to Pensacola for college, which is the home of the Blue Angels. You can often see them practicing from the beach. When they are going fast and heading straight towards you... you don't hear them until they are right on top of you or even past you. It's terrifying because they are super loud too. It's amazing how something that loud can be so sneaky.

Got hit with a killer "sneak-up" flyover from a distant air show. We were at a pier on a beach looking at the air show going on miles away across the water. The planes would come out over the lake, but never closer than maybe a half-mile or so. Suddenly a jet comes from the land side of our view (behind us) and the sound blasted us all at once. Entire pier of people were jump-scared by that one.

Most electrical energy consumed in the US is generated by burning fossil fuels. That energy had to be generated, transported, and then used to charge your battery, which has losses at each step. It also has to move a lot more mass in a typical EV than in their ICE counterpart, and especially in this Hummer.

So no, it's not really that efficient in terms of energy use -- a train or a bicycle and even a fossil fuel burning bus would be a lot better. And even compared to a normal car, unless you are installing your own solar panels to charge it, it isn't guaranteed to be less efficient in terms of carbon emissions, and with the Hummer it's been widely spoken of that they are far worse than even the ICE Hummer.

The only point you might have is air pollution, but the power stations are still burning that fuel and they are often doing so in or near cities. Car tires also produce toxic dust from friction with the roads and since EVs are heavier than other cars on average, they tend to produce more of this dust.

There's a marginal improvement in all of the EV business to what we were doing before, but there are still so many better options, like the e-bike. And if your choice is the hummer than you really can't claim any

I am using my imagination. I'm using it to try to see this from the point of an idiot and am obviously failing. I say again, why would they do this if it didn't work? And who gives a fuck if you knew what happened or not? You'd bug the fuck out of their as quick as you could. You wouldn't be hanging around to find out if it happens a second time. It's like being in an unfamiliar part of town and hearing something out of the ordinary. You don't hang around, you get out of there asap. This is that turned to 14. I swear, it must be tiring for you, having your two brain cells constantly fighting for third place...

So. Your first thought when you got blasted by this would be to just continue driving onwards? Did you watch the video? The car and it's occupants got their shit rocked. That's a pretty clear signal to literally everyone on the planet besides you that maybe something is up and you should probably not keep doing what it is that you're doing. But sure, tell me more how you'd just plow on like someone with a room temperature IQ...

How the fuck do you get that logic from what I said?! Do you think the pilot cares if you know if you're there or not? Cos they sure as shit don't. You know what a lot of people do when they panic? Turn tail and run away. It's an innate response. Sure, some clam up. But a lot don't and will do everything to remove themselves from the situation. Think about it, would they do this if it wasn't effective?
