Agree! It's also kind of hilarious that the movie Hustle got nominated for anything lmao! I remember watching that movie, because someone told me that they 'think I would like it' because I played basketball. And after watching it I was offended they thought I would like that movie. Granted it was a fine movie, not saying it was horrible, but the writing is so bleh and predictable, your standard not great netflix movie.

I'm glad for him,and he did an amazing job of that character.....but the movie was a horrible mess,and bloody depressing.

But how was his performance?

It was bad, yes. Very stilted and weird plot twists that didn't make sense.

Of im correct he was offered a no.ination from the award ceremony that was done by the co.pany the guy who "Did" the thing to him. He told them he would never work with them ever and denied the nomination.

I’m glad he’s making a comeback and it’s nice to see he is being recognized but this definitely does feel like an over compensation. Not only from the film industry but all of media. Did anyone actually see The Whale? It was so bad. So very bad imo.

Isn't it though, I would've assumed NZ and Aus got the same marketing but apparently not.

I watched The Whale for the first time last night and had one of the most intense anxiety attacks of my life as a larger man. I cannot tell you how horrifying the movie was to me and all of it was driven by Brendan's acting ability. The emotions evoked from that were so visceral that I get to go back to therapy again and I can't tell you how impressed I am with his acting.

Edit: Spelling. I wish I could shake Brendan's hand genuinely. What an absolute legend. I'm glad he's getting the success he deserves.
