Revolutions are never clean. But I don't like what you're inferring that the French revolution led to overall bad outcomes and would be better having never happened, and people should just know their station and go along to get along. I believe your thesis is incorrect.

There is no doubt in my mind that Jerome Powell will be hawkish in his speech tomorrow. He has been hinting at this for weeks, and the market is expecting it. A 0.25 rate hike would be seen as dovish, so he will most likely go for a 0.5 rate hike to show that he is serious about inflationary concerns.

Honest question. Do you think that the many individuals working at big banks during 2008 did something wrong? I think there is a huge difference between what individual retail traders do and what is done at the big banks on Wall Street.

This movie was an indictment of that. I'm surprised you're not seeing that. That is what my original point was in my first comment.
