HUGE EDIT: CAR HAS BEEN FOUND AT FRANKLIN SQUARE THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR YOUR HELP!!!!!!!!! SPECIAL THANKS TO THE PERSON WHO FOUND MY VEHICLE!! REDDITOR: "EMGUSK", I AM ETERALLY GRATEFUL TO YOU!!!!

Also, I'm so embarrassed but the P3 was actually painted in yellow and I own up to that entirely. The keys inside the parking lane were also yellow πŸ˜… I'm so sorry I didn't provide accurate information and it misled all of you but I'm so happy to have my car!!! Thank you all of DC, to all of the Redditors that have helped me out and literally I have so much appreciation for you all. My heart literally goes out to everyone who has helped!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

Car info:

I just wanted to clarify where I had parked.

It was a concrete parking garage with P1, P2, P3. Every floor that had any P# was colored different and to the best of my memory, I believe P3 was colored purple. There was tandem parking with a white key painted within each parking spot, not on the walls of the garage. The entrance of the garage itself had to arms on both sides to prevent vehicles from entering or exiting unless lifted. Like the ones in front of train tracks. In the middle is a little booth with a man sitting inside of it. As I had driven down, I had ready started noticing keys painted on the ground in each parking spot already. After I got out of my car, there was a lobby made of glass with two steel elevators that took me back up to the garage entrance. It was nothing fancy and the highest it took me was the ground floor where I had originally came in. At that point I can't recall if I exited a glass lobby to head out the same way I came in but the elevators were definitely made of steel, not glass. Just the lobby room.

On the way to look for the garage where I had parked my vehicle, I tried to communicate my circumstance to all parking attendants but to no avail. I've called all three main companies that own the parking garages around here but only one answered and she was sweet. Very sweet. Federal Parking. I also called the non emergency number and had a police escort me in his vehical and drive me around but we went to a couple and finally he said he couldn't help me further. I thanked him and kept moving. Night time came and I had nothing left to rent a room so I slept outside in DC for the first time ever. Talk about big city initiation. I don't mind but it's colder today and I literally had no sleep. I'm afraid these garages will close on me again before I find my car.

Please, please, please. I'm four hours from home. I don't know what else to do but to reach out for help on here. Bless you all.

Info about the garage I parked at:

Drive in, press the machine for a white ticket, the parking stick goes up but it's connected to a small office in the center of going in and out where the guy was sitting. As I went in, I noticed that each parking lane had a picture of a key painted in white. All the way to floor P3 where I ended up parking. The elevator was in a huge room of glass. I had to open the glass door to get in and inside of it was enough room with two elevators. That room had glass walls kind of like on the show: "You" on Netflix, to give kind of a visual. Elevator took me up and we had to exit the glass room and walk out of the parking deck on foot. Everything was concrete from there as it was when I had originally went in.

I did stay at Beacon Hotel on 17th I believe.

My walk with my luggage I would say took about 15 minutes. If anyone recognizes the parking garage I'm talking about, I emplore you to help me. I regret all of this so much but this is a big learning experience for me in a lot of ways.

I also did check my iPhone for where my car was last parked but I think since it was level P3, the signal couldn't penetrate through to pin that location. I didn't Google or Apple Map a garage, I just drove around until I found one, but like I said the walk was under 20 min.

Summary: Lost my car in a parking garage somewhere in Washington DC and unable to find it. Have tried to seek help from parking officials, police, other parking attendants and my own iPhone for possible clues. No pics were taken until the next day and the car has stayed in the garage since (4 days today).

Please πŸ₯ΉπŸ˜ Please someone have some info. Literally I cannot find any other parking garages with a key painted in each parking spot.

EDIT: Hello everyone. I thank you all so much for helping me and I will be checking every new comment with every place listed that resembles the parking garage I am looking for.

Also, some people think that I am running some sort of scam. I was completely taken aback by these comments. I just want my car to get home. I do not accept money and would rather sleep out on the streets again than to do so. With that being said, thank you to the two people who messaged me and offered to send me money. I was also taken aback by your kindness πŸ˜… Never did I expect that but to the masses reading this, I did not accept.

I'm an honest person just looking for my car. If you know the feeling of locking your keys in your car, losing your phone, or anything of the sort, then please imagine losing a whole car in a big city far from home. One little mistake of leaving my white ticket on the dashboard. I feel so dumb. I can last a while without food. I can ask for water for free at any restaurant, I've done it. Thank you to those who care. Today (Wed, 29th), I will be looking again. I have some help now and a ride around the city to check. Thank you and I am still accepting any !!!!!information!!!!
