Reply to comment by SuperRedShrimplet in Canadian universities have been conducting joint research with Chinese military scientists for years by No-Drawing-6975
Tbf it’s the same if public universities are underfunded and/or professore are underpaid. More of a regulation issue IMO, researchers/colleges shouldn’t be allowed to take these contracts.

This war? No. A war of Brazil and someone else? It may prove necessary. We wouldn't want to do like paraguay and lose half our population due to stubborness

Probably, yes. Until either side makes concessions that would be politically explosive on their own side, resolution isn’t likely. A one-state solution also certainly will not happen.

Reply to comment by goodnewbadestnews in UK's House of Commons defence panel calls for expansion of AUKUS to include India, Japan by Kenrockkun
I get that you are from India and feel the need to defend your home country but I criticize my own country quite a bit. You’d be better off facing the negative truth from time to time than sticking your head in the sand.
I provided multiple sources in my edit above. You haven’t provided any.
You criticized me as being an armchair expert, when this is Reddit. What on earth do you expect?
I provided an actual, expert opinion, which you criticized as being a former advisor as though that invalidates all his experience. You must be a troll because according to your mindset, there’s no reason to comment at all.

BTW these landmines are anti-personnel, not anti-tank. They're "delivered" by artillery and then fly randomly covering a large area.
And kids wouldn't really know that this forest or that field is documented somewhere as dangerous.

What’s the alternative, though? No resolution, just guaranteed periodic violence?

Yes - the quote comes from the government. Reporting what they've said isn't exactly anti union, is it? Lol.
Edit: downvote away, chaps, what a weird take on impartial reporting

Reporting what the government says about something is "pro" them? Lol.
You missed the union leaders' quotes in the article? Or did you just not bother reading it?

Lithuania has some really good reasoning for that too. Mainly it's next to Russia's exclave and Belarus.

>Well, this line of thinking is exactly why it's ridiculous for you to pretend that Zelensky's "preconditions" are actually preconditions to anything. And even more ridiculous for him to pretend that.
They are preconditions for diplomatic negotiations to take place. They can discuss a whole bunch of different things once Russian troops leave Ukraine. But Russia's preconditions that annexed territories, which is what this conflict is about, be recognized as Russian is preventing negotiations.
>Who knows? Like, I said, if Russia is suddenly getting attacked by the US from Ukraine, is Russia going to nuke its own border? Or the US - and trigger MAD for itself too?
The answer is obviously yes, an attack from Ukraine would trigger MAD. Why do you think NATO is not sending troops to Ukraine right now?

I’ve literally never read a post about Iran (or any country) on Reddit that doesn’t have Americans in the comments completely ignoring said country and spouting off some shit about the US instead.
Truly amazing how they can always spin it to be about themselves.
