“to establish a peace-oriented club of nonaligned countries like China, Brazil, India and Indonesia”. Hmm so wouldn’t they then be aligned with each other?

Also to include China as a peace-oriented country is a complete joke. Every other day they are threatening to burn Taiwan to the ground. They’ve also attacked Indian soldiers recently. Among many other instances of non peaceful behavior

Wrong, the group that carried out the original genocide is long since dead as are the original people who lived here, the ones who currently live here are a mix of several immigration waves that came mainly AFTER slavery was abolished, the ex-slaves, some natives and the decendents of the colonizers, these groups were already mixed before and after so much time there is no longer a simple part of the population that you can point as the ones who did all these things, the remaining natives today are mainly tribes that were not discovered untill much latter, most of the ones that were discovered either died or joined the mix

Or are you going to Tell me the japanese that came at the beggining of the 1900s are guilty of these things?

But that is beside the point while the people here have become something entirely different, you can still point at the general direction where they came, even if most of their names have long since been forgoten

>just as anyone in US who voted for the government that lost an election.

You're missing some perspective. There is an insane lack of political engagement in Russia. It's not seen in a democracy as wrong to protest or disobey a law that you see as immoral, regardless of whether you lost an election or not.

Even within the context of elections, the result of losing an election and a law you disagree with being passed isn't to just give up and accept obeying the law, but to fight to change it.

>there will be a desire among some in the west to embrace this, to trust Russia, to expand trade with them and be friendly. But this already happened before and then Russia went back to the bad old days.

Tell me you have no clue what actually happened with Russia in the 90s without telling me you have no clue what happened with Russia in the 90s

It's really no-win situation. If protest succeed and pension is untouched then eventually pension will run out of money and no one after that will receive pension.

Or if the reform is enacted then pension will remain solvent but people will end up receiving less than the original amount promised.

Anyone have idea to break this cycle?

I mean that would be great too but all signs point to us falling short of all the major climate goals so I think we should be funding every avenue of research we have on the matter. From renewables to fusion to AI to a new AI god based religion to give the masses of humanity a better life guide than the religions that are currently available. Which is a topic that I think we all need to talk more about, btw.

Microfiber is a type of polyester.

Polyester has lots of legitimate uses in the world.

Cleaning is not one of them. Nor is drying your hair (most, if not all hair drying towels are made of Microfiber). Which is why I comment when I can. Most people have no idea Microfiber sheds millions of microplastics every time it is used.

But say, for outdoor gear, which could literally save your life, is a fair use of plastic fabrics.

That's always been the problem. If you spread your defences along the border, the enemy can concentrate and punch through anywhere they like. Instead you need a decent reserve that can stop an attack and hopefully cut them off.

If you really don't want to ever lose any ground, you need significantly superior forces right at the border - which looks like you're about to invade and really worries the nuclear power on the other side.
