And things were only getting better and better. The economy grew, society got more control over politics, bribery and corruption reduced, the police have changed, most of the communist leftovers were expelled from power, bigger cities thrive with more taxes from business, smaller villages got their sh*t together and got new fancy roads and shops, whole bureaucracy got reduced, education system became better than it ever was. Yeah, it has lost and lots of shortcomings. But people, the government and the country as a whole got better. What good would happen if no one gave any shoot just like russians do? Nothing.

When I say strong political engagement I mean a large percentage of a population having strong political opinions and perfectly willing to denounce the head of state. Of many completely willing to protest outside of legal boundaries if given enough of a reason to. Of people openly calling for a revolution to topple the government being allowed to voice their opinions. You're not seriously actually going to try and claim that Russia is a democracy are you? Surely you recognize that the legal framework of Russia is entirely ignored by your own government? Do you actually believe your constitution is given any reverence at all?

Do the things on Russia-1 not strike you as absolutely absurd? The propaganda designed not to mobilize a population politically but instead convince it to stay out of politics and throw their hands up because they can't figure out the truth? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Firehose_of_falsehood

History should learn us that push an ennemy on his kneese is not as good as it seems What happened after WW1 pushed rhe Germans in the arms of Hitler because they had no hope and nothing to lose anymore Of course it is possible with little countries such as Palestine f.i. but not with counties like Russia or Germany The only way after Ukrainian victory il to educate people and take examples on what was done with Japan and Germany after WW2

Basically treating the Palestinians the same way as the Native Americans were/are treated.

Maybe they shouldn't have to tried to shelter, support and protect the Taliban and Al Q'aeda when the US was trying to root them out for the last 20 years.

The US supported the Taliban in the 80's during the Russian-Afghanistan Invasion and while that help drive out the Russians, it also gave them 9/11, in return.

You can easily make the claim that Bibi does not move towards peace. But blaming him for wanting some war to continue? I feel that's very disingenuous.

He is being called many times "Mister status quo", as it seems he does his best to keep things as quiet as possible and stuck in the current situation, for better and for worse.

Also, Israel will never stop spending billions on it's army or military tech anytime soon, regardless of the Palestinians.
