Despite Russia's general incompetence, it's hard enough as it is for Ukraine to defend its territory. Going through Moldova and Belarus would be a death sentence as the Russian propaganda puppets there would decry it as an invasion by Ukraine and how Russia was right all along. And I'm fairly certain Ukraine would stop receiving outside help at that point as well.

LOL. You know even though I agree with most of those comments, it sometimes gets a little repetitive. Like you open a thread and the discussion is only chest puffing and jokes I’ve seen 500 times before. It is what it is I guess

Russia totally didn’t get caught with written plans to take over Belarus in the coming years. That story didn’t just come out. It’s Ukraine in their own territory that are the problem.

Honestly there's less and less of a reason for Ukraine not to just push Russia out of Moldova and then Belarus.

Thank you so much for all of your questions! After everything that we invested in putting this project together, it's really gratifying to see the way folks have responded to it. You can find all of our stories from Senegal, Morocco, and Spain here. This project involved more people than I can thank here, but I want to especially shout out our photographer Ricci Shryock, whose images make up the backbone of our immersive story about Saint-Louis and our epic journey connecting climate change to migration to the rise of the right.

They were that close pushing the button in the cold war. What are you on about lol.
You said the very same thing when Russia spent like a month amassing troops at the Ukrainian border, didn't you.
"Just sabre rattling" am I right? A lot of people weee wrong once, wouldn't be surprised if they are wrong again.
Puting is in a position he literally can't back out from, and he was crazy enough to try to invade a souvereign country.
If he actually loses the war completely, don't doubt for a second he will be capable of the worst.

Ah the 'ukraine is attacking us' story they try to tell to attack again from their border probably on 24th.
He already stated they will only fight against Ukraine if Ukraine attacks them. Simply preparing his reasoning.

Kind of high stakes to believe that he has no functioning nuclear weapons. Hopefully you’re not a general or head of state.

If I’m not mistaking a dirty bomb is a conventional explosive with nuclear material attached. I don’t think there’s any convential explosives in nuclear bombs though.
edit - Nevermind I see what you’re saying

Hi Ari! As an African living in the US I appreciate you guys reporting on this subject given the disproportionate effect climate change and migration are having in Africa and other non-western countries who did little to contribute to the problem.
My question is, do far-right politicians in Europe and the authorities exhibiting racism in places such as Morocco know the true situation that immigrants and refugees are running away from? Or are they of a mind that the immigrants risking their lives trying to get to Europe are simply going there to take advantage of "benefits" that they "don't deserve"?
I ask this because the way immigrants, especially black immigrants, are treated it is as if we aren't human. Ukrainians are rightly welcomed in and around Europe because Europeans understand the circumstances that they are going through and they have empathy for them. But for Africans going through similar trials and tribulations, whether it's war, famine or climate chnage the same grace isn't afforded to them. So do Europeans and Morrocans fully understand what is happening in places such as Senegal that is prompting young men and women to leave everything they've ever known or do they just see them as leachers and parasites invading their respective countries?
Thank you for any asnwer!
