Why would he be banning fireworks? Any ideas? Do the Palestinians ever use them to launch at police or civilians as part of their Ramadan celebrations?

I looked up what you said about last year. This article seems to suggest 2022 was the worst since 2015 in terms of casualties, which doesn't quite fit what you said. Any ideas why?

>The number of casualties is the highest seen in such a short period of time since 2015. Unlike then, however, when the majority of the attacks were characterized as “lone wolf” knife attacks in Jerusalem and the West Bank, the latest attacks in Israel were boldly carried out in major cities in the heart of the country with the use of automatic weapons.

Also, I thought Israelis light fire works on independence day, not during Purim. Is it common to have fireworks displays for purim? Isn't that the holiday where they eat hamentachen?

Ramadan almost always bring more tension between Israeli and Palestinians. Last year with with a Bennet-Lapid government, we saw a much quester than usual Ramadan. We'll see what is going to happen this year, but National Security minister Itamar Ben Gvir already announced he plans on making fireworks illegal (a usual Ramadan celebration especially towards the end and Eid al Fitr) meaning that he is opening the door to tons of arrests of Arabs. Meanwhile next week is the Jewish holiday of Purim, when Jews also often like to light off fireworks. And I can guarantee you that no Jews will be arrested for this either.

And the opposite implication is to go to war, to prevent war.

Imagine being Iran for a moment. Iran requires nuclear power as they became a net-energy-importer about a decade ago. They signed onto an international treaty, only for a US President to unilaterally withdraw from said treaty.

So now Iran has 2 options: acquire nuclear weapons to deter foreign invasion & war, or attempt to acquire nuclear weapons for that act to cause a foreign invasion.

Iran is sure to be invaded by a foreign state should they not acquire nuclear weapons. North Korea and Ukraine are the best precedents

Nuclear weapons will proliferate as the plans have existed in publicly accessible locations for well over 50 years

Labor's policy of allowing every person and their dog to open new coal and gas mines as long as they "carbon offset" is pretty much as bad as Liberal policy. Carbon offset schemes are turning out to be one of the biggest failures and scams of all time.

No. Are women in the US being killed for not covering their heads? No, you have pride parades, gay nightclubs, largely uncensored internet porn available for free and practically everywhere, ability to burn bibles and insult religious figures and no one cares (unless it's muhammed). These are just examples, if I'd make an exhaustive list I'd be here all night.

In case you're wondering why this message came out so late, that's specific to this president, reacting late to literally every event.

Romanians DO believe in this cause, but the late reply is entirely his fault.

^(Still can't believe Basescu was one of the best presidents we've ever had. That scene of him laughing at the Russian Parliament years ago ...)
