And that is what happened Tuesday morning as a wrecking crew demolished the 90-year-old colonial-style home. More demolitions could occur as Be Kind & Merciful, Duda's development company, has applied for demolition permits for the homes at 1745 S. National Ave., 1739 S. National Ave. and 1119 E. Sunshine St, according to online records.

I pulled utility bills from 2020-2022 for the property, which is public info and the highest average monthly bill for a quarter was $373.04 for July-September 2022. Most others were in the $90-$150 range, that is actually really good for a 4400 square foot house.
It also isn’t a shock that an older large house built 90 years ago would need some updates.

They are still up sharply compared to 2 years ago, $1.92 in September 2020, 5.16 in September 2021, 7.88 in September 2022. Futures are still sitting +80% over last winter at this point for natural gas.

Mobile Solutions ran by Jay Enge would be the person I would trust with a Mercedes.

I agree with the first half, but not the back half. People in Springfield steal everything, even if it’s bolted down. Doesn’t make it unsafe, just means don’t leave stuff in your car or in the yard.

The simplest way to explain it is generally anything south of James River Freeway or east of Highway 65 are considered the “safer” neighborhoods. However there are many safe neighborhoods across Springfield and most violent crime is committed between people with an existing relationship.

Yep, 603 S Kimbrough was the other one, it has been a ton of restaurants over the years. You’d think all the failures would make people think twice about opening something there?

Reply to comment by KTfl1 in yet another ISP post. sorry. Q. I finally have quantum available in my neighborhood, and I want to ditch this DSL for the fiber at about the same price. It’s a last minute notice, I had an install scheduled but got an email from outside the system which was a shock. They only cover the first $1500, you won’t know until a few days before the install.

Been trying to get installed, hit with an install charge which seemed odd since the fiber pedestal was literally in my yard. Turned out they require my house to be served from a few houses away which meant a 820 ish install, worked with them to change the path a bit so the install will be 560 ish, but then the Quantum/Brightspeed transition happened and I’ve been ghosted despite emails and calls. I just want to get rid of Mediacom and pay these guys $$$!
