Thanks for the advice. The meter reader’s picture would be a stronger case of the sign is in it.

Good to know. I’ll look into it. Probably doesn’t warrant the time off of work, but it would be great to stick it to the man!

J’s discount tire on reisterstown road. Don’t let the sketchy storefront fool you. Legit awesome for all things wheeled.

They built these little curbed islands near the curb on a road I frequent in AA county. There is a bikeable strip of road near the curb and the islands make the travel lane fairly narrow. With a third island in the center of the roadway. I was skeptical but it is astonishing how effective they are at slowing people down. I almost always see brake lights as people approach them. I say almost because occasionally someone approaches at an already reasonable speed and doesn’t need to brake.

I’m also impressed. The cops call that beat Oscar. None of them like to have to sit in a trash can with a radar gun all shift.

I feel like there is a rule that if someone’s front door faces it, then it’s a street. There is a similar “street” in the alleys southeast of the corner of 36th and Roland. All back doors = alley. Some front doors = street?

+1 for Wingate. Bonus: Maiwand kebob across the street is superb. A little slow while making your meal but well worth it!

Would go to Helmand save for the fact that I was in Sangin in 2006-07. It may sound stupid but “go to Helmand” activates some PTSD for me. Perhaps takeout someday.

Yeah. I think there is a component of people like these that has a deep seated insecurity. They seem to think that their stickers show that they have cajones when they are very fearful on the inside. The zealous “defense” of their personal property seems to come from a place of insecurity. Same with their guns. They like to show them off and put AR 15 silhouette stickers on their cars. I own an AR and other firearms. It would be just plain stupid to advertise that fact. Unless one values the projection of some warped sense of John Wayne manliness more than tactical advantage and security. Warped manliness in a Baltimore city cop certainly checks a stereotype box!
