Unfortunately a big chunk of the city's taxes come from either taxes on commercial real estate or from businesses that basically exist solely to serve 9-5 office workers.

Short of singlehandedly changing the economy of the city in a 4 year term, I don't know what you expect from Adams. I work from home and would love to continue doing so in perpetuity but the house of cards that is our city has been built with the assumption that people will be in offices.

There are so many good shows these days but few of them have more than like 12 episodes per season. You don't have to binge the show: 1 hour a day for about two weeks seems reasonable to me, but even if time was limited you could double up instead of binging and be done in a week; assuming, of course, you enjoy the show.

I mean, as a Bronx Sci alum, I actually think the environment of that school was better for my mental health than my local zoned public school. Unless you were in the school's underground Korean fight club or being raped by our pederast debate coach, you didn't have to worry about any kind of physical harm coming to you at that school which is more than can be said for most high schools in the city.

NBA players are more like contractors than employees. Let's say you're the best damn plumber in town, but you're also a virulent antisemite. There are some people who'd bare it and listen to him rant about "the globalists" because they really need their pipes unclogged, and there are people who'd rather go with a second-rate plumber who's not a whackjob. People can choose not to support the antisemitic plumber just like they can choose to boycot the nets.
