People have given you great suggestions. Flag Hill in Lee is good, you won't be disappointed.

Absolutely the best in the area. You pay for it though.

My snowblower died in my driveway this evening, because of course it did. Was running, I turned it off and now it just cranks.
Letting it sit for a bit and crossing my fingers lol

Went to Killington this weekend. Lots of glades open. It's finally here!

That's nice of you to do that for your neighbors. I personally wouldn't mind if I were your neighbor as long as you were into it a good charge. 50 acres is quite a bit.

I feel like it's more like Manchester.
Having it drawn at Concord would put places like Epsom, Deerfield, Northwood and Barrington in "southern NH" and they feel very central (Epsom and Deerfield almost feels like northern NH)

I worked at the Moat in highschool! Biggest regret was not stealing the recipes when I quit.
I think I still remember how to make the slaw but I haven't tried in years.
The short ribs are pretty simple. Just Sysco ribs smoked with mesquite and apple wood ~3x3" chunks, 50/50. Wood is absolutely soaked. They keep them submerged in buckets of water.
Can't remember the bbq sauce but everything was Sysco ingredients.

I live in that general area (south).
Some things:
-
Try to find some candlepin bowling
-
If you want to get a little bit of a drink on I recommend Over the Moon in Pittsfield (beautiful, meadery), Blasty Bough in Sanford (odd hours, very small/cozy brewery/farm. Very friendly and laid back. You may have a rooster try to intimidate you), and Chuck's Barbershop ok Concord (speakeasy/cocktails). I listed my 3 favorite places in a line from Gunstock down to Concord in order.
-
Gunstock obviously has skiing
-
Depending on the weather, Barrington has a very easy walk/hike, Stonehouse Pond.
-
Portsmouth is awesome and great for tourists.
Feel free to PM me if you have any specific questions. I'm 33 and I know the state pretty well up and down as long as it's east of Concord. Only time I go west of it is to go to VT.

Stonehouse pond in Barrington is a very easy walk.
Tons of breweries in the area. Concord and Manchester have plenty, so do Dover and Portsmouth.
I recommend Stoneface in Newington (between Dover and Portsmouth) if you have to pick just one.
Barrington / Northwood have "antique alley" (just google it).
Patty B's is the best Italian in the seacoast, imo.
For good Pizza I recommend La Festa in Dover Northwood Brewery in Northwood.
Also recommend checking out Over The Moon Farmstead in Pittsfield while you're in the Barrington area.
Dover / Portsmouth / Durham are great areas for your age. I lived in Dover in my 20s. Check out Portland, ME too.
They're pricy areas to live, though.
Edit: P.S. If anyone on this sub gets political or rude just pretend you didn't see it. We've got some real jackasses that like to comment on every "moving to NH" post.

It's probably a bad time to buy a home right now. Housing prices are really high and are just starting to fall.
I loved Dover when I lived there. Moved out about 4-5 years ago.
Look at the school rankings and pick any town around the good ones. Everywhere in NH is nice.

Idk if they go to new Boston but I used Hadden Fine Carpentry in Barrington for a drywall project once and they did a great job. Best drywall in my house.
I can't remember the cost but they were honest with their quote and broke it all down for me in an itemized list at the end.
It wasn't the cheapest quote I got and it wasn't the most expensive.

It really is a vicious cycle.
And if you're homeless you probably can't afford to do in-patient sobriety which would probably help a lot of people.
Not even factoring in tons of people are in denial about being an addict.
