Nah, not really. Mass is right there and its influence is omnipresent. You see their license plates, people, news, etc. everyday.

Florida is far away. It’s a silly place where grandma and grandpa live and where crazy people are.

If you’re truly into the outdoors and want space and have a good remote job, check out Berlin. It has the bones of a once great down but has fallen on hard times. Housing is plentiful and cheap and it sits in the shadow of the Presidential Range. Go help turn things around!

The way I hollered at the TV when I saw this. Great show but it’s like they went out of their way to make this not look like eastern Mass lol

Spend an afternoon in Portsmouth. It’s walkable, has plenty of good shopping and dining, charming neighborhoods and scenic water views.

I second what another poster said about visiting a sugar house! It’s the precise time of year for it and is a unique tradition of this part of the world.

As far as tourism is concerned, New Hampshire is first and foremost an outdoor recreation paradise and March is just about the worst possible time to visit. Hope you have a great trip though!

I’d like to see what actual poverty outcomes look like. Are NHers overall worse off than Mainers or Vermonters because we have a lower minimum wage? Do citizens in states with higher minimum wages have better financial outcomes overall?

AFAIK, NH has among the lowest or the lowest poverty rates in the nation, and as another poster already commented, almost no one makes minimum wage. My McD’s down the street is offering $15+ to start. I just don’t see the need for the state to do anything about it, but I’m also not married to the idea.

I can vouch for Jean’s Auto in Merrimack on the DW Highway. I don’t live near there anymore but they were always straight shooters every time I took my car there and explained everything in detail. Small mom and pop shop just a minute over the Bedford-Merrimack town line.
