I used to leave no later that 5 am to be in Fredericksburg by 6ish. I work with DEQ compliance and construction in the petroleum industry. It is 57 miles one way and can vary in time as Fredericksburg is the portal to hell sometimes. Now I work from home as the company decided to outsource the construction work.

Taste of India off Midlothian. Buffet Style on the weekends and it was better than we had expected. Mango lassi was very good and it would be worth coming to just for the naan. Definitely on my repeat list.

Check from Treasury mystery solved. I had forgotten on a whim I filed for unclaimed property a couple of months ago and this was one of the claims I made. Not much but still enough to off set some of my OT shortfall.
More bulbs in the ground this weekend. Once these are in I can start clearing some of the mess out front of the house.

Just go notified I have a check coming from VA Treasury and I have already received the $250 about a month ago. I am praying it is not a govt screw up that I will have to spend hours trying to correct. I could really use some extra $$ as my OT was cut back and it is putting a dent in my fund to pay off the vacation I took last month.

Once you hit 20% equity you can request the PMI to be removed. I did it with our mortgage from VA Credit Union. It was removed for the next payment. You have to file a formal request and there is an appraisal done to make sure you have sufficient equity to remove the PMI

Yes. I owned and operated an auto repair shop in the past. You can verify this with your insurance carrier.

A rejection sticker will invalidate your insurance coverage so know that going in if you choose the route that is being suggested. It has been deemed "unsafe" even if it is BS. I had a similar situation and took it across the street to another inspection. Told him my concerns and he reinspected and found nothing wrong. He took the rejection sticker with him when he went across the street to talk to their service manager.
After that, every maintenance visit I had to do using the contract I had purchased with the car I always asked "how are the brakes". For almost 2 years I was always told they were fine. I finally replaced them about 3 years later.

Ok now I want sashimi and loaded miso soup. It makes my dinner of turkey chili pale in comparison. I could eat all of that by myself no questions asked. 😆

Get a hotel in Henrico and use the bus to get into town. The bus is free until sometime next year. Driving into town came be a parking nightmare.

Tinkering with a cheese type spread to bring next weeks Thanksgiving gathering:
1 jar crema
2 fresh grated garlic cloves
3 tsp of fresh dill (rounded)
1/2 fresh lemon
pour crema in bowl, add garlic, dill and juice of the fresh lemon. Mix well and sit at room temp until it thickens like cream cheese. The type of crema you use will either make it sweeter or more tart depending on your taste. Serving with bagel chips.
