We always celebrate on March 14th, we use it as our anniversary.

When we started dating, I was between relationships and intentionally didn't start dating until after VDay so I wouldn't get stuck with any expectation of doing (and paying) for some big dinner, flowers, etc. My now wife was totally on board.

That being said, this year Four Twelve Project has a 4 course meal (on FB, and I don't have a link) that we want to check out. We're planning on going Friday the 10th as early as possible to hopefully avoid the busiest time.

There is a guy that works at the Sheetz on University in Moon, and he makes my day every time I see him.

It gets stupid in there, the place is laid out poorly for such a high traffic store. For example, if you just want to self-serve a cup of coffee, there's always a line of people milling around waiting to pick up MTO's in your way.

He's a one man zamboni. Not only does he move people out of the way politely, but he is meticulous about picking up any junk on the floor and refilling coffee stirrers and lids.

He's usually smiling. To answer your question.

I had a regular that ordered, one day I show up with his pie and was greeted by a geared up cop with his gun drawn.

Apparently after the guy called in his order the police showed up to raid the house, I'm assuming it was drug related (Like I said, a regular and you could tell). Cop tried to get me to give him the pizza because the customer "wasn't going to be getting it". I would have considered it, since it was going to be a write off anyway, if he hadn't just made me piss my pants. Like you couldn't have looked and see a uniformed pizza delivery guy with a pizza bag and holster your gun?

I know someone who lost their license for 6 months, before video/dashcams were common based on a report from a bus driver.

Where I live, they put police in front of school zones at the start of the school year, and if there are any issues with this kind of thing will put a unit at the problem stop and absolutely prosecute to the full extent of the law.

My self-terminated cables frequently negotiate down to 100Mb from 1000. Honestly, I gave up and bought a good wi-fi adapter which gets about 200Mb and 18ms pings, which is good enough for most of what I do. And then the leftover 800Mb of bandwidth, I don't have to worry about the kids DLing a PS5 game or streaming 4k.

Me too, some of my company's physical media gets retained there. They have a bunch of old celluloid prints from ancient movies they store there because it's the ultimate in stable environments.

I think the had a fire a bit ago though.

Is your car new to the salt belt here?

Anecdotally, last year I bought a 2010 Honda from my brother in Virginia, had never seen salt. Just one winter and there is visible rust on the undercarriage. I'm not super vigilant about washing it, but did get it full undercarriage washed after the salt was off the roads last year and it's still rusting faster than I expected. I kind of feel bad that I didn't undercoat it, but it was an inexpensive first car for my new teenage driver so I didn't want to put too much into it.

Hell yeah. I still regret getting rid of my '04 Camry (namesake of this account) because the rust issues became more to repair than it was worth. Metal itself becomes a wearable part up here in the salt belt.

Have you done anything proactive on yours, like undercoating? Most discussions about undercoat are split 50/50, some swearing by it and other swearing it can create more problems than it's worth.

What kind of car do you drive that recommends it, is it higher-end?

I totally get it for people who buy high-end cars and have to put in like 93 octane. At that point though I consider it a niche/enthusiast kind of thing though. Like a coworker drives something like that, and he's a gear head customizing stuff under the hood that is way over my head. Nothing wrong with that.

But if I bought a new Camry and I had to put "special" fuel in it, that would be a deal breaker for me.

Even out in the suburbs it's a thing. I also drove in college in the North Fayette/Robinson area and we had blacklisted addresses and whole housing plans for driver's safety.

You've got someone showing up alone with food and at minimum some cash on them to make change, it's an easy target
