Pillows are SO subjective, it’s really difficult to find a source of truth to learn about them etc.

With that said, I’ve been through many, many pillows over the years.

I’ve found I/we like… buckwheat and wool pillows.

I’ve you’ve never tried a buckwheat pillow, I highly recommend one from Hullo. There is a bit of a “learning curve” to the pillow as it’s like sleeping on a beanbag (sort of). The fill is loose inside, so it moves around a bit. You’ll need some trial and error to find the amount of fill you like (you can remove and add fill to fit your body type).

OP this is the correct answer. Take a look at crew bags on your next flight. Almost none of them are “mainstream” brands. Most are from LW.

Luggageworks isn’t pretty to look at, but damn if they won’t last decades for us regular travelers.

OP: Asks for non-mall brands

r/BIFL: Proceeds to list almost exclusively mall/mass market/disposable brands

What has happened to this sub? Too many people are SO eager to give out their lukewarm dog turd opinions on topics they don’t fully understand.

You want a bridle leather belt. Full stop.

Carmine Jack has an excellent custom belt box. He sends you leather and metal color samples with a measuring tape.

You pick the color combo and sizing, then he makes the belt and sends it to you. ~$160 and it’s the nicest, most durable belt I’ve ever seen.

Check them out
