Yes, it's New England, but this is not Mass. Why are Mass people posting in here or even viewing the sub? They have enough problems in their own state.

Massholes have earned their moniker and reputation time and time again.

First and foremost, they think everything that happens in their state is the right thing to do and wants to force it upon other states. This causes them to be irrational assholes in real life and on the internet.

Second, they see New Hampshire as their playground, but do not respect the residents or the rules. They collectively refuse to fit into the area they are visiting & instead try to make that area adapt to them, collectively drive like shit, collectively trash our resources as in literally trash our resources, collectively overcrowd our attractions so New Hampshire residents can't participate as much as they want, collectively cause problems in STRs, and are constantly involved in criminal activity in the state if you believe the state police blotters.

Third, they deliberately support and prop up the big government restrict everything bullshit. Those are not good people.

I could go on, but this is reddit, and all the dickbags will downvote me anyways.

Why do I know so much about Massholes? I was born and raised there. Luckily escaping at 18 which was a depressingly long time ago. The 'Welcome to NH, don't Mass it up' slogan resonates.

What kind of hitch is on it? 5th wheel, gooseneck, or standard bumper pull? If bumper pull, any of your friends with a truck/SUV can easily pull it out with minimal equipment. They would have to see what size ball it takes, but it is likely 2" or 2 5/16". Go by your local Home Depot, and they usually have a half ton available for rent. I'm not sure if they have the receiver for the ball mount though. If you go that route, don't tell them what you'll do with the truck. A half ton won't be optimal, but at least it will get it out of your yard and make it the city's business.

Really surprised that the cops didn't at least tell you who the registered owner was once they ran the plate.

I don't know Manch, but can the city point you in the right direction maybe?

This sounds like a big win for the city. It is certainly something that is needed and providing competitive child care rates may force the private centers in the area to lower theirs.

I'd be curious about two things:

How will they meet their stated goal of at least 51% of the children coming from low to moderate income? IMO a copy of a 1040 would be decent proof, but is the city willing to go that far.

Also, how will this be funded?

It depends.

The prime sponsor of last year's MJ bill that passed the House and got killed in the Senate is now in the Senate. A lot of those old senators are gone. There is still that ancient dude from Manchester in there who came out firmly against it last year. Lou Dala..something. Also Sharon Carson's worthless ass.

IMO there might be enough new blood in the Senate.

It is likely. No other reasons for them to be there. NH classifies them as escaped private property so doesn't allow a hunting season. VT, on the other hand has a season. NH's stance will bight us in the ass if a few pregnant sows escape.

Some neat maps. Not just the local area, but to see the incremental expansion of territory. https://www.aphis.usda.gov/aphis/ourfocus/wildlifedamage/operational-activities/feral-swine/sa-fs-history

Call the town, and see what they say?

Some towns offer it at either the dump or their DPW barn.

I'm surprised they are giving out salt, but that is pretty cool if they do.

If you end up looking to buy salt, the cheapest I typically find are the 50 pound bags of vaporizer at HD. It's just plain old rock salt. They have two formulas of vaporizer-the 50 pound is cheaper than the 40 pound.

Lowes has some even cheaper 50 pound bags, but every time I go they are hardened into bricks.

because the stupid policies those idiots voted in makes it insanely expensive and restrictive to live there

Now they'll do the same to their new states.

I'm assuming you are still in school with your plans being solidified for after graduation right?

If not, we have a problem that should be addressed first. [off my soapbox now]

If your plans are good, just grab another part time job at a restaurant or similar-that industry has tons of transition. Builders are always hiring hard workers, but don't expect much in the way of benefits, you'll have to have a way to get yourself to a site, and I kind of doubt many will be thrilled at using a guy for just a few more months before you go off and do your post high school plans.

As a general rule though, nasty things get discussed in kitchens and outdoor trades. The further away from a cube farm you go, the more honest the discussions tend to be.

> You think -15f and 20 mph wind is normal?

Yes. It's cold. It's below average. It's not extreme. It's a northern New England state-cold is normal.

There were a few -12s here in the Lakes Region last year and much colder further north. It was -18 yesterday morning. Zero problems with any heat. I spent four years living in Alaska-another state which is supposed to get cold. Never had a problem with the heat despite colder temps than yesterday.

Not all of the sub lives on the MA border.

I can't figure out if you're on the repair side and giving kickbacks to the sales people for selling undersized stuff or the other way around.

If your heat is not keeping up with normal weather and the house is appropriately insulated, there is a problem. It may not be something is malfunctioning-it could be a mistake when buying an undersized system.
