Awful taste in decor on the landlord's part (although the valances are kinda... charming I guess?) Absolutely great price tho. You'll 100% get someone. Right across the street from the park? 4 blocks from the path? 2022? Hell of a deal, all things considered.

There were reports of the lights and signals not synchronizing correctly at this stop a while ago. Wonder if that's still a problem, if that had anything to do with it or (probably likely), the driver just screwed up as is the case 9/10 times.

I was just thinking that, but they sound a few blocks west, maybe around Erie. Doesn't look like there's a fire in that pic, either.

For once, I had a pleasant late night ride home from MSG tonight at close to 4AM. No huge crowd at 33rd, got a seat, train didn't even fill up by Christopher like normal - shockingly smooth, despite the HOB layover.

https://i0.wp.com/jcitytimes.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/11/IMG_0341.jpeg?resize=800%2C600&ssl=1 It APPEARS that the cyclist was heading west on Grand and the car going east, so the side of the bike lane that's closed shouldn't have been an issue.

Yea it's a rough intersection. I feel like what they've done (long lights so people can cross easier; a small cutout on the south side where people can sort of stand safely, even though it isn't an official median) is a decent start to improving it, but there's still plenty of ways it could be better for pedestrians and bikers.

As costs rise (in no small part to the greater number of people using the services I'm about to mention), so too must the amount that people who benefit from the services pay in. This is how society works. If you want to see individual taxes lower, increase the taxes that corporate entities pay.
