Yeah, I haven’t heard of this. I would support re-establishing state-run mental health facilities in general. But when I hear “remove”, alarm bells go off that it’s really just dumping them out of sight and not solving the problem. So I’m curious what is actually happening in the places that poster is referring to.

Where does NYC and the other countries place them?

I don’t know if I got a bad sandwich but I tried the roast pork twice and it really just tastes like seasonless fat.

It was made only 25 years after Dracula was published. So it’s like us adapting a book written in the late 1990s. It kind of feels like Dracula the novel is way older than film but in reality it was published right around the start of film.

True, I guess it’s more accurate to say that it looks like an interpretation to us now because the Bella Lugosi movie from the 30s became what the culture sees when it thinks of Dracula. It is more directly an adaptation without permission.

It’s an interpretation. As I recall, they tried to get the rights to Dracula and Stoker’s widow refused.

Yeah, it’s unpleasant so I don’t recommend it if you’re trying to show the best side of the city to visitors but I wouldn’t say it’s less safe.

Maybe. But I have an Apple Watch and nothing has ever come of it. They can also usually see my watch either way since it typically sits below my sleeve end.

I can look at the time on my watch without even stopping or missing a beat and I will and report it if asked. But don’t ever stop and take your phone out to tell someone the time.
