It seems this post got banned as well.
Seems like a valid topic to discuss to me however.
It's amazing the dreck that typically passes for a "shower thought."

Well yes, amen to that -- but Republicans have literally campaigned and fought against critical thinking in schools. It leads to sacrilegious people.

While that is sort of the intent. There is a lot of precedent for people suing for false advertising because a product was not as advertised. Companies have been successfully sued for making their burgers appear giant before.

I'm sure that if politicians weren't allowed to lie, they'd be delivering a defective product. The Smoke and Mirrors company would also appreciate a hall pass as well.

I suppose if you can't function in a complex world, Prison might be your only hope. And that is super sad.
But it seems like he panicked -- or did he? Throws out the money and then tells sister to report van stolen. So they go after him or don't think he used her van. WHO uses their own van for a heist, anyway?
This poor guy just sounds like h's just not that bright. He could have found less risky and easier ways to get thrown in prison.

Look, the prison system was DESIGNED by you "tough on crime" people and it sucks. It mostly focuses on the crimes of the poor which have less impact than white collar crime on most people's way of life and it doesn't rehabilitate people more than it just chews them up and spits them out.
God forbid you are ever on the wrong end of the stick and depending on mercy from this "don't blame mommy and daddy" view of the world. Nurture is an impact, otherwise, why are we bothering with anything?

It's probably easier to say 3 years. Or, we can just say 3 light years, because that's a distance and a time.

LOL. I respect that sort of pragmatism. I still have 500 business cards from an old job.
Belarus KGB Leader: "Comrades, we have no independence from old rulers, same as new rulers, so, why should we go through any effort to put lipstick on pig."
Crowd: "Hooray!"
Belarus KGB Leader: "Simmer down now. I expected far less energy and applause. This is going to be a marathon, not a sprint -- save some of that for next year's company potato sack race."

There is always a rationale for war.
Did they stop to consider they could invade Poland from Belarus? I think we might consider being proactive here.
