Before she tried to use VT as a stepping stone to the Congressional-Lobbyist Revolving Door she had spent the previous decade working for elite NGOs in Switzerland doing some McKinsey type stuff. Her supporters are usually either part of the Professional-Managerial Class or completely Astro-Turfed. She needs to go back to whatever wine cave fundraiser she crawled out of.

VT doesn’t care about anyone under 43 years old unless they can buy a $500k home for cash with the intent to make it their primary residence. Phil Scott is gentrifying this State at an alarming pace.

To say that most affordable homes in VT are dilapidated would be a massive understatement. At this rate you’d be better off buying some land with a buddy and build a multi unit home to both live in and rent out the extra units.

In Windham County in Southern VT you need to be making at least $50,000 a year to scrape by, and that’s assuming you own your own home. If you rent in Windham County then you would probably need to be making at least $75,000 a year to afford to live without a roommate.

Overpopulation which leads to the Deer overbrowsing. The Deer are subsequently underweight and eventually are stunted in growth. Just look at the Deer population in New Jersey.

Or we could reintroduce Wolves to the state.

The Cortina Inn is particularly egregious. It boggles the mind that the State just let these people charge whatever they want.

Nothing. She would be great in the Statehouse but that has barriers to entry for working class folks.

We don’t get the normal people from those areas. Just Kenneths and Karens in their Porsche SUVs.

Southern VT is a case study in why we need dense mixed use downtowns and public housing in this State. Barely anyone can afford to pay much more than $500 in rent + utilities while maintaining a car because their apartment building is in an un-walkable location.

Because our Governor won’t allow towns to enact rent control. Anything over $1500 a month in VT is highway robbery. VT also needs to address the epidemic of short term rentals sucking up the housing supply.
