Build more transit then?
We desperately need more housing and builders are falling over themselves to build it, literally just stop making it illegal.

No we don’t? I think office-to-housing conversions are very promising, though they are more expensive than people tend to think.

I want more housing in the Bronx, and in Manhattan, and in the rest of the boroughs. Unlike you, I’m not a NIMBY who only wants anything new far away.

Good. We have plenty of historic buildings, we desperately need more housing.
Want to preserve a building? Make the owner an offer and buy it. Otherwise, pipe down about how other people use their property.

It’s not hard to see why the city is facing a staffing crisis. Public-sector work will never pay as well as private-sector, so the trade off was good benefits, better hours, and a pension. With those things gone, why would anyone be a public servant?
