I lived in Vermont for 12 years and had Green Mountain Care if it's still called that.

I would say Ma Vs. VT on Health Care ;

Vermont's health system is much better and covers more for higher incomes than Massachusetts.Vermont covers more and for more people in the lower middle classes whereas MassHealth is more for in and around the poverty line but Vermont does more for the people inbetween poverty and upper middleclass ,so that's the VT advantage.

But Vermont has frankly shitty doctors and crappy hospitals and overall treatment is poor compared to Mass.Vermont Doctor quality is a nightmare ,if you have any real health issues stay in Massachusetts for sure,unless you are super healthy don't trust your care to imcompetent VT doc's.Mass doc's and hospitals and overall healthcare is light years ahead of Vermont!!

Property values will be cheaper in Worcester county if the commute does not bother you.I don't know a realtor but turf is cheaper near Worcester than pricy Middlesex or Norfolk.

where and when are new roads being built with the excetion of the Eisenhower Interstate system built in the 50's and 60's. And the federal roads built earlier on most roads are just pavement of pre existing dirt roads from earlier times.

THere may have been lane additions or turning normal roads into controled acces roads,really when has a new road been built in 50 years?

My father lived there for many years and is buried there.The few rough parts in town are easy to avoid.Turner's Falls has a tougher reputation I think especially the Patch area.

Bernadston,Shelburne and Northfield are also worth looking into as well.My former step-mother still lives there,no complaints from about Greenfield.
