I get why this is a rule, but let’s not lie to ourselves and all pretend that in 2022 that there are not several ‘religions’ that are basically just glorified tax exempt hate groups.

I’m pretty sure you are being sarcastic, but in fact Fetterman will make it better since he won’t spread homophobic hatred and conspiracy theories that spur whacko MAGA idiots to shoot up gay clubs.

It would have been hard for him to have committed these murders if he was incarcerated for the numerous felonies he committed less than 2 years ago.

Thank you! It’s so important to call each and everyone of these homophobic violence inducing MAGA asshats out.
And a good reminder that local elections matter. There are important elections twice a year (primary and general) not just every 4 years for president!

Not sure if this is sarcasm or not. El Paso county in Colorado, where these previous felony charges were dropped, is majority Republican, voted for Trump in 2020, and brought us the abomination that is Lauren Bobert. The DA is not progressive. The charges being dropped and the record expunged is likely the result of political pressure from the right wing Maga nutcases including the shooters Uncle who is a MAGA California assemblyman who vocally supported the attempted overthrow of the government in January 6th. https://heavy.com/news/anderson-lee-aldrich/amp/

Absolutely. And if you don’t believe me you can take a look at my user history on this sub… But, hmmm, Krasner and his cronies never tried to overthrow democracy. So, maybe not quite as angry. A tad less, but still very unhappy with his failures as a DA.

The shooter should have never been free to commit this heinous hate crime. The DA who failed to prosecute the bomb threat and trigger the state’s red flag laws to take away the shooters weapons over a year and half ago have these victims blood on their hands. https://apnews.com/article/gun-violence-shootings-colorado-politics-springs-ee6fe797a50cfca1bccfcc051c588187
Edit to add: Fuck you Lauren Bobert and your idiot hate filled MAGA Trumptard followers.

100% agree. The best way to get your street plowed is to spend hours meticulously clearing your sidewalk and parking space.

Well it’s the same department who are responsible for repairing the roads and collecting trash so set your expectations accordingly low and then a little lower since there is a strong argument that snow removal is the thing they are probably the worst at.
JBizznass t1_ix515ci wrote
Heads up: Philly doesn’t plow most of its streets (even bus routes) and if they do plow your street it may be over a day after the snow stops. Make sure you plan accordingly as this always seems to shock people who moved to the city.

The problem with police staffing in Fishtown long predates any ‘soft strike’, covid, or Krasner. See my reply above for more details.

The problems with the 26th district in Fishtown have existed way before the ‘soft strike’, covid, and Krasner and at its core is the result of how officers are assigned within districts. The 26th has 3 police service area (PSAs). Officers are assigned to PSAs based on the level of crime in each PSA. The PSA of the 26th that houses Fishtown has so much less crime than the other PSAs farther into Kensington that it means that Fishtown proper usually has zero officers assigned to it at most times. They also often get pulled into the 24th and 25th (which are home to the badlands and other bad parts of Kensington)as back up for serious incidents further reducing numbers in Fishtown. It’s important to note that this was even before the officer shortage and criminals absolutely know that they can go to Fishtown and get nicer shit with less risk of being caught (or shot by their victim) and take advantage of the police absence to commit crime with even greater impunity.

I’ve had several shelter pets. You have no idea what happened before they found you or why they are afraid of the things they are. All you can do is love them and work to help them realize they are safe and loved and don’t need to freak out at random everyday things. My one dog was afraid of wine glasses. It took a bit but he got over it.

There are lots of parks just outside the city limits with limited car traffic. I live in Haverford TWP (which is just outside of west Philly) and there are tons of parks that are away from streets and cars.

Sitting on a stoop isn’t exercise. Those are two different activities. And exercising before training often can help the training exercises. I’m not sure why you seem to be against these folks exercising their dog in a quiet place WHILE they work on training.

But you can’t do that overnight. So getting your dog out for exercise and socialization in the mean time is a responsible thing to do.

Block their door with their trash and leave a note that says “A gross slob who leaves their trash everywhere lives here” or something else to publicly shame them. That is what I used to do with my terrible gross neighbors who left trash everywhere. Bonus: you get to watch them be pissed off about it as they struggle to get out of their house.
Alternatively if they have a back yard you can throw it back in there with a note that says “you seem to have misplaced this so I returned it.”
Good luck. People are awful.

You should be fine as long as you don’t shoot up a gay club after your elected representative MAGA relative had a MAGA DA drop your violent felonies and let you keep all your weapons despite the fact that you are clearly a dangerous and violent person with hateful ideology.
I’m gonna guess you will be fine.
