Well that’s a great opinion and very understandable but the HPC won’t share the same opinion as you and judging on how they approve and not approve things I have a feeling that it won’t happen but who’s knows. If an old bank building with no purpose can get an approval can this more interesting and building structure get one too

The fact that a president spoke here once, one that many people believed freed and ended slavery it’s going to be a huge up hill battle for the developer to get this passed through the HPC. If The Arc tower is having problems trying to demolish a building that has no importance to the neighborhood or itself didn’t get approved I wouldn’t imagine this too but these days anything can happen and sometimes nothing.

It pains me to say this but I feel like it’s a dead project and don’t get me wrong I am behind this project buttttttttt it’s the third meeting, if it ends up being 5 council members again and it’s going to be another no unless the attorney found away to get everyone on board I honestly don’t see it getting approved tonight, we got lucky with halo and 777 and many more projects that are going to happen soon. So we can’t win them all I guess in the end but let’s be great full for another opportunity at a project at this scale and hope that the next one can do what this can not. The only way I can see this tower happening is if the height gets murdered, or the building having a similarly facade to one theater square or Shaq tower 1, but I can’t imagine that design with art deco

I really don’t know what’s happening, it got denied demolition but is up for the planning board on Monday so Ig we should just attend the meeting and see what’s going on. Hopefully it comes true and if it doesn’t atleast we still got halo towers

Here’s a list I made on the status of developments happening downtown. As for the halo foundations should almost be done.

I mean swahili village be blasting music everyday until 2am and it’s literally on the first floor of one theater square and the hotel. And trust you can feel the vibration from the music

Facts we definitely need something like a Times Square or something, like Bloomfield and broad street would be a great place to have it or that we make broad and market street something similar. Definitely need more transportation

Facts, I work at the restaurant at one theater square, sometimes I do parking for the restaurant inside the garage and the amount of black people that live in this building is crazy, so I really don’t wanna hear anything about gentrification or people getting kicked out, not every white person can afford a place like this and not every black person can afford a place like this. I think future generations of people of color will be able to live in these new developments.

Welp all we gotta do now is wait for next fall to see this happen, so close but far at the same time. Very glad this is happening. 30 months to complete so I imagine it being done sometime in 2025 or 2026. If CitiSquare starts at the same time we’ll have to big developments under construction in this area but wait we also got 930 McCarter hwy starting construction soon and hopefully maybe the Arc Tower as well. Also does the new prudential tower look U shaped
