Yup, we're going to have rotten ice after this.(all kinds of varying thicknesses) you won't be able to trust measurements even a few steps away from the hole.

Yeah Milton is close but the village isn't really.

I was happy enough with suncommon to get a quote from them when it was time to expand my system (did not anticipate buying an EV as soon as I did)
Ultimately went with Green Mountain Solar because they were able to put more panels in less space where Suncommon said it couldn't be done.
(Let me know if you want a referral code to either)

Grand Isle has been good to us, Exit 14 is 25 minutes away if we want to go to Burlington and Plattsburgh by ferry is really close.
Locally we're really happy with the school so far. There are zero restaurants in town but a few decent options in South Hero or North Hero. Emmons is a good sized small town market with a full deli, and seems to have avoided much of the price inflation we see at the bigger grocers. I largely work from home myself, and Comcast has been pretty reliable. You can find most services you'd want "on island".

Milton isn't really any closer than exit 16. The nice part is that I leave my house and there are no traffic light between me and 89 south.

No one is talking about shutting down room rentals, those aren't part of the problem, and are a small percentage of Airbnbs.

That must apply to the vacancies as well, so doubling is still accurate.

So we could double that in one stroke. While building.

Hundreds of houses in the STR market is not a drop in the bucket here.
Also we could seriously go for more density in the villages and downtowns. Most of them have a few mixed use "Block" buildings already and they could probably use a few more.

Not sure I've seen it implemented long enough anywhere. We'll have to watch results from what Burlington is doing.

You can reduce demand for less desirable uses in the market. This will drop prices of the "starter home" type houses and condos.
