We've one of those on our street as well. Got a very large breed of dog as a pup. And do nothing with him. He's out in the front yard alone all day. Barks at people walking by. If he wanted he could easily launch himself over the fence they have. No collar. No tags on him. Wife was happy when the last dog they had died, so why the husband went and got a LARGE puppy of all things is beyond the rest of their neighbors and I. And they left their last dog outside 24/7 in all types of weather too. Animal Control here has "better things to deal with" so no one bothers calling.

I was speaking with the guy a few weeks ago and he says the dogs getting more and more aggressive to him and the family etc. So he's going to "shore up the fence in the back yard" and put the poor thing out back. Where he'll have NO people to see at all. Granted at least then the rest of us wont be able to smell the piles of dog shit they never clean up. Even my bitch of a sister took their dog to obedience classes and all that. People that get a dog and then do nothing with it are a holes.

I wish. I have three cats. Still have mice. I don't see them, unless one of the cats actually decides to hunt. But they are in the walls. We've been in our place 21 years. Blocked holes, openings. They still get in. I no longer use kill bait though, since I like the neighborhood hawks etc and don't want them dead. So I bought quick kill, no touch traps. Had one in my room, heard the snap one night. Kinda ick, but as cute as mice are. They are very ick.

My neighbor has bird feeders up, and our homes are close together. Between the chipmunks, squirrels, and mice I make sure to go and drive each of our vehicles frequently. While my family has hens, their food is stored in metal cans, and I don't over feed so there's not food just laying around. Plus the hens have devoured several mice over the last few weeks. Chickens can be terrifying little things

IKR?! We have a skeleton that we have out on the porch year round. We dress them in clothes befitting whatever holiday is coming. On Halloween, since we now have two of the fun plastic bone guys, we are getting them married. I can only guess that there are some folks that walk, or drive by our home year round and have been offended by them. I mean the day I found "The Future" shirt at Target I will admit I thought "Is this too much?" But I bought it and put it on the main skeleton. My neighbors loved it. There are other streets people can take. Heck my dad, back in the 80's made all kinds of stuff to put in the field, and even took time to enjoy scaring the piss out of us kids walking by. These days some "Halloween should be cute not scary" Karen would probably leave a note on the front door

Sounds like something the guy we used would "miss"

Ours wasn't the boiler, but the roof. There's a drop ceiling in the kitchen/dining area for a damn reason. The guy never even moved a panel. Two months after sale. Rainstorm. And water coming in. Right. Over. The. Stove.

Since it's been over 20 years now I can not remember who the guy was. But he was the first name on the list the realtor (Foster Healey) gave us. Lesson learned, never choose the first name on the list.
